Spelling test and phonics
•Week 3 of your weekly spelling test for you to work on each day (Monday –Friday) Perhaps you could
have a mini-test each day and use a look, cover, write, check method on any you are finding difficult in
preparation for the next day when you will be tested again.
The weeks spelling test words are:
Sight words: could, should, would, who, whole, any, many, clothes, busy
• In phonics this week we will work on:
Spelling rules- words ending tion.
Here are some words to practise spelling and using... station, fiction, motion, section, addition,
potion, option and subtraction. Practise writing them, so that you are confident at spelling them.
Also write each word into a sentence.
Attached as a PDF is a word search and a cursive handwriting sheet to print off.

Can you make a poster titled ‘Habitats’ and draw and
write about some animals, birds or insect habitats you
have researched. It could be as simple as…..
