• This forms the basis of marks for students needing B2 in speaking

• Discuss in breakout rooms possible topics you might present on
(Please try and choose different topics. If someone chooses the
same topic as you, remember to work independently- working
together is an unfair advantage and is called ‘collusion’.)
• Remember you should be able to discuss your disruptive
innovation with a partner in the paired tutorial this week.

Week 4 Paired Tutorial • Be prepared to discuss your disruptive innovation in this Friday’s paired tutorial • Remember, you need to interact with your partner- respond, discuss and ask questions • Your tutor may ask you some questions Week 5 Presentation- Present a disruptive innovation in your field of study. • You must choose one disruptive innovation to present • Your presentation should be accompanied by between 5-8 slides (your last slide will be references) • You will present your findings to your class • Time limit : 5 Minutes • Date: Tuesday/Wednesday Week 5 Week 4 Paired Tutorial Task and Week 5 Presentation

Paired Tutorials Assessment Criteria • All students receive a mark based on the criteria below • This forms the basis of marks for students needing B2 in speaking Week 4 Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity Y/N Can produce clear speech which is mostly coherent and cohesive Y/N Can explain opinion with clarity and sufficient detail Y/N Demonstrate their ability to do above without reading from the textbook or from a prepared script Y/N

Presentation Assessment Criteria Assessment criteria: Presentation A 22, 21, 20, 19, 18 B 17, 16, 15 C 14, 13, 12 D 11, 10, 9 E 8, 7, 6 Content The extent to which: o Content is matched to audience and allocated time Organisation, coherence & cohesion, The extent to which: o the organisation of content is logical o there is clear signposting language Communication The extent to which: o the delivery is clear and at an appropriate speed o the speaker engages with the audience o the speaker employs appropriate body language to enhance communication o use of language enables clear communication o the speaker can respond to questions Visuals o Clear slides support message as opposed to be sum total of message o Attractive layout of slides/ poster support presentation o Accuracy of text appearing slides

  • 15. Your presentation topic Present a disruptive innovation in your field of study. • Discuss in breakout rooms possible topics you might present on (Please try and choose different topics. If someone chooses the same topic as you, remember to work independently- working together is an unfair advantage and is called ‘collusion’.) • Remember you should be able to discuss your disruptive innovation with a partner in the paired tutorial this week.
