This document outlines the topics and tasks for Week 3 of a RED 575 course. Students are asked to respond to a classroom vignette, discuss reasons for differences in learning, compare differentiated, individualized, and workshop models of instruction, and define and describe Response to Intervention and its tiers of instruction. The document also discusses the essential elements of RTI, problems for teachers with RTI, elements of intervention for struggling readers, and the roles of teachers, administration, and psychologists in supporting differentiation.
