servers.

browser.

Programming language used to create webpages and
display them in web browsers.

• Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)
Protocol use to request and transmit
files, especially webpages and their
components over a network or the Internet.

words or phrase that displays another
document when they are clicked.

server is a computer which uses special software to

communication amongst computers over the Internet.
 It is also called Transmission Control
Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
 TCP/IP breaks down the data into little chunks, or
packets, which are sent to other computers on the Internet.
 It also ensures that the data is reassembled into its
original form.
IP is the Internet Protocol Address. It is usually four
numbers separated by full stops: forexample, 192.168.1. 100.

the rule for transferring files over a
network or the Internet.
