The document discusses how companies can use HTML5 to build mobile apps that provide app-like experiences without needing to develop separate native apps. It argues that the web has achieved feature parity with native apps and that using the web allows companies to more easily distribute content, test new ideas, engage with existing audiences, and leverage existing web presences and business models. Examples are provided of media companies that have "appified" existing web content or repackaged archives as HTML5 apps to drive new users and engagement. The key advantages highlighted are flexibility, ease of experimentation and distribution, and the ability to write code once that works across devices through a web approach.
Advancing Content Management for Omni-Channel User Experiences by Roland Bene...eZ Systems
Roland Benedetti Chief Product and Marketing Officer at eZ Systems presented at re\VISION NYC on December 12, 2016. He spoke about what role content plays in a successful omni-channel user experience strategy. Content is key for digital success, but the reality is content by itself is nothing. We need to connect the right content to the right users and engage them throughout the customer journey in a consistent, meaningful way. In this talk, Roland Benedetti will share ideas on how content management technology can help organizations succeed with their content across channels and he'll also share some pitfalls to avoid.

We all know the importance of designing websites for mobile. But what about designing content for mobile, or for the myriad of devices that could be used to display a website. Typically, we think of adapting the style of websites on small devices, but we don't think about how our content strategy needs to work for different devices. In this session, we'll look at creating a device-agnostic content strategy, and how this effects our approach to Drupal site building.
These slides were presented at Drupal GovCon and DrupalCamp Montreal 2017.
Topics will include:
Doing a mobile content strategy assessment
Content formatting strategies
Considerations for media
Content previewing challenges
Navigation issues
Landing pages and long-format content

Introduce about APO-Chan, a mobile application.

How difficult is it to port Flex and Silverlight applications to HTML5? That is the question we hear every day at ComponentOne. Instead of speculating about it, we decided to sit down and try it. Today we will discuss the process and tools we used when doing so. The approach we took was to use the MVVM pattern (from Silverlight) when developing the HTML5/JavaScript version. By choosing this method we were able to port our data access and UI layers quite easily. Our developers were able to minimize the cost of learning new paradigms in this migration by reusing most of their knowledge. What we ended up with was nearly identical applications in Silverlight and HTML5. Come learn how you can smoothly transition to HTML5!

MBC Group is the largest broadcaster in the Middle-East, with a 50% share of the audience and over 160 million viewers. Millions of visitors come to the MBC website for news and information on the channels and shows. This poses an interesting challenge for the CMS behind it all: Magnolia.
Adriaan Bloem will explain how MBC came to select Magnolia, and how it was adapted to fit the unique requirements of a large media site. He will touch on content management concepts, and how a page-oriented system can enable placeless content. In short: how with a Swiss foundation and some German engineering, you can have your cake -- and eat it, too.

Mobile media module part 6 - app development rev-mfMichelle Ferrier
The Mobile Media Module is designed as a two-week, broad-based study on the mobile landscape that can be applied in many courses.
The program was implemented at Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication to support our Scripps Innovation Challenge and to build knowledge of the mobile landscape across our communication curricula.
For implementation, we brought in an expert in mobile development to teach in four existing classes over two weeks in Spring 2013. Faculty teaching those classes became the students and built their capacity to teach the material in subsequent semesters.
By “hacking the curriculum” using the “module method,” we were able to reach more than 500 students in one semester with new material.
For more information, contact Dr. Michelle Ferrier, associate dean for innovation, Scripps College of Communication, ferrierm@ohio.edu.
Joomla as a mobile App backend - ideas, examples and experiencesAndy_Gaskell
Joomla as a mobile App backend.
Presented at J & Beyond, 2015 in Prague.
This talk described ideas, principles and methods related to building mobile App backends in Joomla. The Joomla front end is an ideal tool to provide app content administrators the ability to control their app. We'll look at several examples of this process for Apps developed for the UK education sector. The Apps typically use RESTful JSON interfaces to pull and push data to and from the Joomla backend.
Within Joomla the FieldsAttatch a jBackend are used and extended upon. We'll look at the Joomla solution, what we used and what we added. We'll also touch on App development, including cross platform native app development with Ti Appcelerator, continuous integration of multiple rolling releases, team skill-sets, privacy issues and business cases.
It'll be a narrative of the project's journey, ideas, paths and reflections.
Although there will be some technical detail, it should appeal more generally too.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.
Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
