We operate our own network of servers which are fully administrated by us. We employ the
services and expertise of a professional server solutions provider. They maintain the
hardware side of the equation, while we look after absolutely everything else.
Each server on our network runs a powerful 64-bit enterprise-level linux distribution. Our
servers have oodles of memory and tremendous amounts of processing power to ensure
database-driven websites perform at ease.
We built our own fully functional DNS network too. This ensures that services operating on
your domain name can be found on the right server hosting those services. All you need to
do is designate our two Name Servers for your domain name and the ball rolls from there.

RUN?
Most websites can run on our network! Websites that won’t work will be those that
require servers running Windows. But for everyone else, and most likely you, our robust
linux platform will do the job better.
For the technical people out there, we run Apache2, PHP5 with FastCGI, MySQL5, and
Perl5.

space limits for mailboxes, based on the total space available for all users. You can split this
up however you please. More space can be added for just $1 per 100MB per month.
Flexible account management - use a tiered control panel system so administrators and
end users can take full control of their inbox configuration online.

Email is a big part of hosting, believe it or not, email handling is more resource
intensive than serving webpage content.
There are more moving parts when it comes to email processing, so usually a whole more
can go wrong. Take out one wheel and the whole system falls over. Our email server is
robust and tested thoroughly. We have a backup mail server that will accept email destined
for you too, because all in case the primary server goes offline we can’t have email being
bounced back to sender can we?
With our IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) and TLS/SSL encryption capabilities you
can now keep your email on the server and access it from anywhere. This is especially
useful if you have a computer at home, a laptop at work and an iphone on the go.

If you use IMAP email access, you will never have to worry about locating or transferring
your emails if you upgrade, switch or lose your computer. Your emails are always
available from our server network and backed up on a daily basis.

SECURITY
Each website living on our server operates under its own unique user/group permissions
and privileges. This means that should a security breach occur, the damage is limited to a
contained area minimising risk to other hosted websites and users on the server.
We employ a sophisticated Host Intrusion Detection System (HIDS), which monitors
unexpected changes in all critical files and takes appropriate action. We also have an
advanced policy based firewall implementation, and a collection of custom scripts to detect
and take immediate action against threats.
Our system is also trigger happy. If someone ever wrongly guesses your email password
one too many times, BANG. We take security very seriously.

10. SPAM AND VIRUS
FILTERING
Each email account is fully protected by our innovative and collective use of spam filtering
implementations and techniques. Our mail servers are configured and tuned to only accept
messages which conform to proper email standards.
All outgoing and incoming messages are checked for known viruses.
We also employ a very effective technique called greylisting. This spells death for many
spam messages coming from malicious mailservers. Failing that, we have an army of
aggressive checks and filters to knock them down.
Our customers hardly ever get a spam message in their inbox!
