TI is a large global company with over 31,000 employees worldwide across various locations. The document discusses the problem of increasing mobile phone usage leading to higher international long distance costs, and proposes an ideal solution of allowing international mobile calls on employees' phones to route over TI's low-cost voice infrastructure instead of mobile networks, in order to reduce costs and improve business processes. The solution would integrate mobile networks with TI's enterprise voice network in a way that is seamless to users and doesn't require changing behaviors.
This document discusses how 4G networks enable cloud computing capabilities. It argues that cloud computing can increase efficiency by allowing centralized administration, management, and updates across devices. It also claims that cloud computing lowers costs by reducing the need for local IT staff and hardware through scaling, and allows older devices and software to still be useful. Additionally, the document suggests cloud computing can increase revenue by providing more flexible tools and environments for users and businesses, enabling new projects and business models to be started more easily.
Sending documents by fax is crucial to the way many workers do business. Numerous organizations consider this form of communication a reliable way to transmit reports, invoices, and contracts to one place to another, especially to businesses with spotty internet connections. However, the costs of using ink and paper for a traditional fax machine can add up, not to mention repairs and replacement to the machine itself. Plus, processing and filing paper faxes can divert precious time away from your skilled workers. These distractions decrease your company’s chances to respond quickly to an ever-changing, competitive environment. Consider making the switch to cloud faxing instead. Cloud computing refers to storing and accessing computer data and programs over the Internet instead of on a physical device. Google Apps for Business offers additional email storage and mobile access to accounts for an annual fee per user. As business spending on cloud computing rises, pros include lower computer and software costs while allowing faster data sharing, but cons are greater dependency on service providers and potential security and privacy risks of storing data externally.

The IT manager’s survival guide to outsourcing your fax infrastructure to the...eFax Corporate®
For many in IT management, spending capital, time and IT resources on maintaining fax servers and infrastructure is not a high priority. However, because many established industries — such as legal, healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing — are highly dependent on fax documents, IT management must continue to optimize this technology to meet business needs and requirements.
But if your organization is spending more time than you should handling employees’ fax complaints or performing maintenance on fax servers and other infrastructure, it might be time to take your business’s fax infrastructure to the cloud, and leverage all of the benefits of a fully hosted cloud fax solution — benefits that include cost savings, freed-up IT resources, enhanced security and regulatory compliance, and even increased employee productivity.
Leveraging Cloud Computing for Your BusinessCornerStone
A growing number of business decision makers have recently started down the path of leveraging cloud services while many organizations are in the early stages of exploring how hosted services can help their companies. Some early adapters who met with challenges discontinued their initial plans to migrate computing resources to the cloud, Many companies have yet to take their first steps. Some early adopters who met with challenges discontinued their initial efforts to migrate computing resources to the cloud, but now, with more stable platforms and the proliferation of cloud providers, they are taking a fresh look. No doubt, the topic of cloud computing has much ‘buzz’ around it, and it probably suffers from over exposure. But don’t let that discourage you from exploring how your business can benefit from cloud services. This presentation outlines some basics of cloud computing and provides a list of resources, including white papers and research from industry leaders such as Gartner, on how companies can effectively migrate to cloud services.
The document discusses how CornerStone leveraged cloud services to grow its business over time. It began using hosted services in 2002 and gradually transitioned more of its operations to the cloud through acquisitions from 2009-2011. The document then defines cloud computing and outlines the three main categories of cloud services: Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Finally, it provides examples of how various organizations have benefited from cloud computing through reduced costs, increased flexibility, improved availability, security and scalability.
Presentation For Dublin City County Enterprise Board 11th Oct 2011niallmmackey
Cloud computing allows users to access IT services over the internet without maintaining infrastructure onsite. It provides scalable, pay-as-you-go computing resources. Key benefits include lower costs, flexibility, and mobility. Common cloud services include hosted desktops, email, servers, storage, backup, and VOIP. Customers should consider security, access, costs, and broadband requirements when adopting cloud solutions.
The document discusses Texas Instruments' enterprise mobility strategy and requirements. It aims to enable mobile access to information to improve productivity while ensuring security, manageability, and cost-effectiveness. Key points include deploying mobile email to thousands of employees using a network operations center architecture with centralized management of handsets from a single point.
This document provides an overview of cloud computing. It defines cloud computing as running applications from an external shared data center rather than locally, allowing access from anywhere without upgrades or dedicated IT staff. The cloud offers three main layers of services: Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service. The document also discusses how the cloud has disrupted pricing models, value chains, workforce skills, and business planning. Both businesses and consumers can benefit from the cloud's flexibility, scalability, and reduced costs. However, the document cautions that security, outages, lock-in effects, and cultural barriers present challenges to cloud adoption.
The document discusses unified communications and collaboration solutions. It describes challenges around communication delays, complex infrastructure, and high communication costs. It then summarizes Nortel's unified communications portfolio including the Agile Communication Environment which exposes communication features as web services to integrate with business applications and improve processes.

Cloud promised a simple pay-as-you-go approach to technology, with cost-savings at the top of the agenda. But data from 451 Research finds that costs are a major issue for enterprises as new pricing models, services and features introduce waste and complexity into the procurement process. In this webinar, we examine the challenge facing enterprises and find a level of intricacy that can’t be solved using manual process – tools and expertise are needed.

HijackLoader Evolution: Interactive Process HollowingDonato Onofri
CrowdStrike researchers have identified a HijackLoader (aka IDAT Loader) sample that employs sophisticated evasion techniques to enhance the complexity of the threat. HijackLoader, an increasingly popular tool among adversaries for deploying additional payloads and tooling, continues to evolve as its developers experiment and enhance its capabilities.
In their analysis of a recent HijackLoader sample, CrowdStrike researchers discovered new techniques designed to increase the defense evasion capabilities of the loader. The malware developer used a standard process hollowing technique coupled with an additional trigger that was activated by the parent process writing to a pipe. This new approach, called "Interactive Process Hollowing", has the potential to make defense evasion stealthier.
