This is hardware and software base computer interfacing project..We can save those amounts of drinking water for better future by our device. The total amount of water available on Earth has been estimated at 1.4 billion cubic kilometers, enough to cover the planet with a layer of about 3 km. About 95% of the Earth's water is in the oceans, which is unfit for human consumption. About 4% is locked in the polar ice caps, and the rest 1% constitutes all fresh water found in rivers, streams and lakes which are suitable for our consumption. A study estimated that a person in India consumes an average of 135 liters per day. This consumption would rise by 40% by the year 2025. This signifies the need to preserve our fresh water resources.

3. ABSTRACT:
The drinking water crisis in Bangladesh is reaching alarming proportions. It might very soon
attain the nature of global crisis. Hence, it is of outmost importance to preserve water. In many
houses there is unnecessary wastage of water due to overflow in Overhead Tanks. Automatic
Water Level Controller can provide a solution to this problem. It can be most useful through
android mobile apps. So water can be used to open or close and levels. As the water level rises or
falls, different circuits in the controller send different signals. These signals are used to switch
ON or switch OFF or Level mention and Control motor pump by Android apps as per our
requirements.

4. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First and foremost, we would like to thank our Honorable Course Lecturer of this project,
Ms Marium-E-Jannat for his valuable guidance and advice. She guided us greatly to
work in this project. Her willingness to motivate us helped tremendously. Next we
thank Anwar Hossian (CSE 4-2) for without his helping hand the project would be
incomplete... Finally, an honorable mention goes to our friends for their
understanding and support in completing this project. Without help of those
mentioned above, this project could not have been completed.

5. INTRIDUCTION:
A Water Level Detector may be defined as a system by which we can get the information of any
water levels. Water level Detector system is quite useful to reduce the wastage of water from any
reservoir, while filling such reservoir. A simple water level indicator can be made using the
Embedded Application Board (EAB).
Nowadays everybody has overhead tank at their homes. But everyone who has a water tank
above knows the kind of problems that they face. Firstly there is no system to track the water in
the tank. Then there come a secondary problem that is when their water pump is started they
have no idea when it gets filled up and sometimes there are situation where the pump keeps on
pumping water to the tank and the water starts spilling out from the tank. There is wastage of
energy as well as wastage of water.
The house where we live in has an overhead tank which is about 30 feet from the ground level.
We were getting bored going up the rooftop to check whether the tank has filled or the water
level was below to start the pump. We had to do this again and again. We always used to think of
the possibilities of how can this problem be tackled in Embedded Application System
Why WE Choice
• Suppose 8 litter water waste from a water tank five days in a week,
Then in a month we waste (8*5*4) =160 litter drinking water,
Again in a year we waste (160*12) =1920 litter water from a water tank.
If ten water tank in area waste the same amount of drinking water then we waste in a year
(1920*10)= 19,200 litter water.

• Easy installation.
• Low maintenance.
• Compact elegant design.
• To compare the controller with the conventional controllers available in market and
Find the advantages of the former over the latter
• The Automatic water level controller ensures no overflows or dry running of pump there
by saves electricity and water.
• Avoid seepage of roofs and walls due to overflowing tanks.
• Fully automatic, saves man power.
• Consume very little energy, ideal for continuous operation.
• Automatic water level controller provides you the flexibility to decide for yourself the
water levels for operations of pump
set.
• Shows clear indication of water levels in the overhead tank

9. Working Process or System
In our project we divide our Working process into two parts
1. Hardware Connection.
Step 1: At first We cheek the sensors to test its performances .as it is read switch
we test it thought magnet it triggered successfully and we confirm that our sensors
is working.
Step 2: we take a sensed water level as Adriano input
Step 3. We send water level to the network.
Step 4: we puts the water level on the server.
Step5: we repeat the process again
For this we may design a water sensor by using any the wire with Black color is connected to
Vcc of the EAB. The wires with colors Blue, Red, Green & Yellow are adjusted to check Level1,
Level2, Level3 and Level4 respectively. Each of these four wires is connected to the Embedded
Application Board (EAB).

15. Advantages
Conclusion and Scope:
A. Maintenance
It is an economical system that requires very less maintenance as compared to conventional
system as it has no complicated circuits and delicate mechanisms. This saves the additional
maintenance cost.
B. Cost
The main advantage of the water level controller is it has very low cost than the conventional
one available in markets. For example, some commercial controllers use microcontrollers which
alone costs around Taka 5000-8000. But for our system, the components used are less in number
and easily available. Hence losses will be less leading to a better efficiency.
C. Construction
The construction of a water level controller is very simple as it requires only a few components.
The circuit involved is also relatively simpler.
D. Skill Required
Since the system of water level controller is simpler than the ones conventionally available. The
controller can also be easily operated by anyone. On a final note, the conventional controllers in
market mostly use sensors and microcontrollers. These increase the cost as well as the
complexity of the system. We have developed a rather simpler but efficient model of a water
level controller.
• Automatic Water level Controller can be used in Hotels, Factories, Homes Apartments,
Commercial Complexes, Drainage, etc., it can be fixed for single phase motor, Single
Phase Submersibles.
• Automatic water level controller will automatically START the pump set as soon as the
water level falls below the predetermined level and shall SWITCH OFF the pump set as
soon as tank is full.
• Water levels can also be seen in mobile screen.
• Liquid level indicator in the huge containers in the companies
