The document discusses the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is the central event of Christianity. It outlines the biblical evidence for the resurrection, including prophecies, Jesus' predictions of his death and resurrection, the empty tomb, and post-resurrection appearances. The document also addresses objections to the resurrection and the significance of the resurrection, which provides believers with hope of eternal life and victory over sin and death.

What is death? What is life? Why is it true that we cannot truly live until we accept our mortality? How did the resurrection of Jesus Christ forever defeat death? Who is Jesus Christ and how was He able to accomplish what no other person in the history of man accomplished? What will happen to you when you die?
How you talk to people about Jesus depends on what they already know.
There are four great facts that must be communicated. He was completely human. He was more than a great teacher. He overcame death. Your spiritual encounter with Him today.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
18. It is three things.
•You’re alive.
•You’re dead
•You’re back to physical life
a state of perfection that was apart from
the kind of suffering and limitations that
the normal human body seems to endure.
19. WHAT IS THE BIBLICAL EVIDENCE
FOR THE RESURRECTION
OF JESUS?
21. Isaiah 53 - called the fifth gospel ,
prophesied 700 years in advance.
22. ISAIAH 53:12
Therefore I will divide him a portion with the
many, and he shall divide the spoil with the
strong, because he poured out his soul to
death and was numbered with the
transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many,
and makes intercession for the
transgressors.
24. MATTHEW 8:31
“And Jesus began to teach them that the
Son of Man must suffer many things, be
rejected by the elders and the chief
priests and the scribes, and be killed,
and after three days rise again.”
28. MATTHEW 27:57-60
57 When it was evening, there came a
rich man from Arimathea, named
Joseph, who also was a disciple of
Jesus.
58 He went to Pilate and asked for the
body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be
given to him.
29. MATTHEW 27:57-60
59 And Joseph took the body and
wrapped it in a clean linen shroud
60 and laid it in his own new tomb,
which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled
a great stone to the entrance of the tomb
and went away.
31. LUKE 24: 1-3
1 But on the first day of the week, at
early dawn, they went to the tomb,
taking the spices they had prepared.
2 And they found the stone rolled away
from the tomb,
3 but when they went in they did not find
the body of the Lord Jesus.
33. LUKE 24: 4 - 7
4 While they were perplexed about this,
behold, two men stood by them in dazzling
apparel.
5 And as they were frightened and bowed
their faces to the ground, the men said to
them, "Why do you seek the living among
the dead?
34. LUKE 24: 4 - 7
6 He is not here, but has risen. Remember
how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,
7 that the Son of Man must be delivered
into the hands of sinful men and be crucified
and on the third day rise."
36. LUKE 24: 10-12
10 Now it was Mary Magdalene and
Joanna and Mary the mother of James and
the other women with them who told these
things to the apostles,
11 but these words seemed to them an idle
tale, and they did not believe them.
37. LUKE 24: 10-12
12 But Peter rose and ran to the tomb;
stooping and looking in, he saw the linen
cloths by themselves; and he went home
marveling at what had happened.
39. 1CORINTHIANS 15: 3 - 8
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance
what I also received: that Christ died for our
sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on
the third day in accordance with the
Scriptures,
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to
the twelve.
40. 1CORINTHIANS 15: 3 - 8
6 Then he appeared to more than five
hundred brothers at one time, most of whom
are still alive, though some have fallen
asleep.
7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the
apostles.
8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he
appeared also to me.
41. 7.
THERE ARE A FEW PEOPLE THAT BEGIN
TESTIFYING TO RESURRECTION
OF JESUS, THAT HAD JESUS
NOT RISEN, THEY WOULD NOT TESTIFY
43. JOHN 20: 25 -28
25 So the other disciples told him, "We
have seen the Lord." But he said to them,
"Unless I see in his hands the mark of the
nails, and place my finger into the mark of
the nails, and place my hand into his side, I
will never believe."
44. JOHN 20: 25 -28
26 Eight days later, his disciples were
inside again, and Thomas was with them.
Although the doors were locked, Jesus
came and stood among them and said,
"Peace be with you."
45. JOHN 20: 25 -28
27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your
finger here, and see my hands; and put out
your hand, and place it in my side. Do not
disbelieve, but believe."
28 Thomas answered him, "My Lord and
my God!"
53. ACTS 1: 14
14 All these with one accord were devoting
themselves to prayer, together with the
women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and
his brothers.
54. LUKE 1:35
35 And the angel answered her, "The Holy
Spirit will come upon you, and the power of
the Most High will overshadow you;
therefore the child to be born will be called
holy—the Son of God.
55. WHAT IS THE CIRCUMSTANTIAL
EVIDENCE FOR JESUS’
RESURRECTION?
72. There is this common ideology
that says, “The resurrection of
Jesus was an idea that was
borrowed.
73. WHAT IS THE HOPE OF THE
RESURRECTION OF JESUS?
74. No other major world religion has as its
founder or any leader anyone who was
resurrected from death.
•Death is not the big deal that it once
was because of Jesus.
•This gives us a collective hope.
•Sin and its effects are deeply hated
by people who don’t even know
Jesus.
76. 1 CORINTHIANS 15: 54 – 57
54 When the perishable puts on the
imperishable, and the mortal puts on
immortality, then shall come to pass the
saying that is written: "Death is swallowed
up in victory."
77. 55 "O death, where is your victory? O
death, where is your sting?"
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power
of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 CORINTHIANS 15: 54 – 57
