For small-scale farmers in Vietnam's Mekong Delta who farm pangasius, it is difficult for them to continue in the face of uncertainty and many have exited the industry altogether. However, support programs or alternative models may need to be considered to help small-scale farmers rather than assume exiting farming is the only solution.

A team from the Dairy Science Park at the University of Agriculture Peshawar visited the Center of Excellence for Bovine Genetics at Okara to discuss technical collaboration. The team toured the Embryo Transfer Laboratory and Semen Production Unit. The Center of Excellence produces high quality semen and embryos and agreed to supply these to the Dairy Science Park for local farmers. The two groups also agreed to collaborate on research programs. The Minister of Local Government for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa agreed in principle to establish a Dairy Science Park Board and provide 500 million rupees in funding.

Narrative report of rejane
The learners from Buga National High School, along with their teacher Mr. Joey Glenn Cabana, visited the CPU Farm research station in Leon, Iloilo. They were given a tour by their guide Mr. Froilan Cabarles, who showed them the facilities including the feed production machines and housing areas for different stages of chicken growth. The learners observed native chickens of different breeds and ages, and learned about the research studies being conducted. They gained new knowledge about commercial poultry production and technology. The goal of the visit was for the learners to observe farm operations and identify machines in preparation for their senior high school exploratory subjects.

The birds were randomly allotted to 5 experimental diets with 3 replications of 20 birds each. The diets were formulated with the inclusion of PASCM at 0, 15, 20, 25 and 30% levels for treatments T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5, respectively and the data collected were subjected to analysis of Variance in a completely randomized design. Results obtained showed that in the economics of egg production, egg/hen/day, egg sales/day (₦) and profit/day (₦) decreased with increased PASCM inclusion in the diets. While most of the egg quality parameters were affected (P < 0.05) by the dietary treatments, except egg weight, egg length, shell thickness and egg shape index. The economics of production and egg quality characteristics showed that 20% PASCM inclusion level resulted in optimum production and hence this level is recommended for adoption.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
