Every hundred years, a hungry dragon wakes up in the mountains and goes to the village seeking food. He tries to eat a boy named Sia, but Sia promises to give him food if he doesn't. Sia feeds the dragon large amounts of chicken, rice, noodles, sausages and puddings, but the dragon remains hungry. When Sia gives the dragon his last sweet, the dragon explodes from being overfed.
4. Deep in the mountains lives a dragon. Every
hundred years he wakes up. He is very hungry.
‘I want some breakfast,’ he says.
He goes down the mountain to the village.
He sees a boy.
‘Yum, a boy for breakfast!
’‘Don’t eat me!’ says Sia. ‘I’ll give you some
food.’
Sia takes the Dragon to his house. He eats
three plates of chicken and rice.

5. ‘I’m still hungry,’ says the Dragon.
Sia gives the Dragon more food. He eats five
plates of noodles and ten sausages. He is still hungry!
They go to the restaurant. The Dragon eats six
puddings and a cake.
He is still a bit hungry!
Sia checks his pocket. There is one sweet. He
gives the sweet to the dragon. The dragon explodes!
‘Hooray!’ shouts Sia.‘ The dragon is gone! No
more boys for breakfast!’
