  1. VSO is an international development charity that works through volunteers. Our vision is a world without poverty in which people work together to fulfill their potential. VSO sends professionals who share their knowledge. Knowledge that saves lives, knowledge that helps local professionals to improve their skills. This is how VSO plays a significant role in fighting poverty, deprivation and HIV/AIDS.
  2. VSO professionals Are highly skilled (min. 3-5 years’ professional experience) Undertake placements lasting from 3 months to 2 years Share their skills with local organizations and professionals Earn a local salary & employed by a local partner Live in locally appropriate accommodation
  3. VSO: Voluntary Service Overseas. Sending skilled professionals, not money or goods. This makes us different. Works at all levels – from grass roots to national ministries Recruits volunteers through the UK + Ireland, Canada, Netherlands, Kenya, India and the Philippines

  5. 1 year placement (July 2008 – July 2009) New retail outlets have been identified and some new products have been added to the core range which now covers aloe vera soap, peanut butter, tomato sauce, banana wine and dried fruits (mangoes, tomatoes and mushrooms) cosmetics, honey, bird boxes. Production levels and sales are still very small and there is need to develop these to more sustainable levels.

They will share their knowledge with people who need it and develop key management and leaderships skills in the process. Changing lives partner programme Using the expertise of your company to coordinate and develop projects which help improve live in developing countries. Business Challenge Treks & fundraising activities Organise fundraising for treks, sport events, photo competitions to raise money and stimulate teambuilding. VSO organises the Treks, employee raises funds to join Trek. Sponsoring programme Financial support of an existing project of VSO that fits with the strategy & goals of your company.
