Fast forward to 1967, when Travis's sons, Roland and T.D., shouldered the mantle of the family legacy. As the demand for craft-style barbecue soared, the astute brothers discerned the imperative to share their delectable creations with a broader audience. After cultivating a devoted following in the vibrant Dallas Fort Worth area, the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Franchise Restaurants ventured forth, extending their smoky allure across the vast expanse of Texas. By 1994, the brand had etched its name on the national stage, marking its debut with the inauguration of its first franchised establishments. Thus, the journey from a cherished local gem to a nationwide sensation had well and truly commenced.
