records
Background:
- Approximately 40% of faculty members are
represented in the Library of Congress Name
Authority File (based on study at Texas A&M)
- University Libraries create local name authority
files to capture all the faculty
- VIVO can solve this problem on a larger scale

“• How to relate external named entity identifiers
and information to library authority data
• How to relate external named entity identifiers

 Disambiguated organizations across the two and have shared
back to Ringgold and FundRef
 Expecting the ISNI identifiers to serve as the linking identifier
between various organization lists
How shall VIVO best take this into account? VIVO person URIs have
various kinds of relationships to these organizations
