Art is a way for me to visualise my personal ideas and express myself in a way for others to
interpret. I enjoy being able to create something from an idea, as well as exploring my individuality

This world is under information explosion. Interactive media occupied our life to suffocating. Tv,
laptop, and smartphone connect us to the rest of the world 24/7. New technology and entertainment
struck our mind and conquered our life. Painting as an apparently archaic activity is relatively still
and pale to the extent some people labeled painting as dead. What is the meaning of painting after
we already have the camera to reserve any scene with just one click? What is the position of

Art has shown to help kids have stronger critical thinking skills, display higher levels of social
tolerance, and show greater historical empathy. Brian Kisida, Jay P Greene, and Daniel H did a large
scale random–assessment research study, through which they were able to prove that strong
relationships occurred between art education and a number of desirable outcomes. In this study there
was a new museum in the town so they, by lottery, selected students from local schools to go on a
field trip to the museum. After the field trip the students who had gone to the museum had stronger
critical thinking, they also displayed higher levels of social tolerance and showed greater historical
empathy. They also developed a taste for art museums and cultural institutions.
Playing an instrument can change your brain's structure, improve long term memory skills, and lead
to better brain development for those who start in childhood. Musicians may also be more mentally
alert. In a University of Montreal study they showed that musicians have much faster reaction times
than non–musicians. In the study they had 35 total participants, 16 were musicians who had been
playing their instruments for at least 7 years and 19 were non–musicians. During the study each
participant was seated in a quiet room and asked to keep one hand on a computer mouse and the
other on a small box that occasionally vibrated slightly. The participants were then instructed to
click on the mouse if the box vibrated or they heard a sound from the speakers in front of them or
when both things happened, these were done 180 times each. The results showed that the musicians

where the written or spoken word can go. The Arts open minds to pluralistic thinking and banish
barriers between various groups within the human race without in–your–face politics or flag waving
sentimentality. With subtlety of expression, the Arts elevate us to our best selves, and our society to

Arts Education (capital E) is a noble pursuit to which I devote much of my life and career. Every

stated that our nation needs citizens who can think for themselves, which is very important. In my
experience, people like to be told exactly what to do instead of having wiggle room for their own
creativity. We need creative people in the world to create, problem solve, and critically think. We
need citizens who will think for themselves and use their skills to better our nation. The second one
stood out to me also because in my observations, kids aren't getting the chance to portray their
feelings, and emotions into art. This understanding of arts, allows kids to see multiple perspectives
and create a desire to explore. Kids need to feel ownership over learning, and art gives them that
