Visiting shopping mall
Introduction
 The latest trend in this corporate universe is of the
emergence of the shopping malls.
 Shopping malls are an emerging trend in the global arena.
The first thing that comes in our mind about the shopping
mall is that it is a big enclosed building housing a variety
of shops or products .According to historical evidence
shopping malls came into existence in the middle ages,
though it was not called so. The concept of the
departmental stores came up in the 19th century with the
industrial revolution. Consumers wanted a better shopping
experience and this demand gave rise to the emergence of
shopping malls in India.
 Originally the first of the shopping malls was opened in the Paris. Then the
trend followed in the other metros over the world and there was a spree of
shopping malls coming up at various places. In this age of mass production
and mass consumption, the concepts of shopping malls in order to peep
through the window of the shop and often ending up buying something they
like. The consumers desire a combination of comfort and suitability which
the shopping malls cater to, and so this format of shopping has become so
popular all over the world and especially so in India. The inclusion of
amenities like restaurants, multiplexes, car parks, game parlor and many
more other things which attract people to shopping malls, that considered
family hangout zones.
Advantages
Increase in the growth of the organized retail sectors.
Monumental increase in economic growth.
Employment generation by the organized retail
sector.
Good competition means better products and
services.
Disadvantages
The companies with superior resources would
muscles out the once inferior to them.
Monopolization of the organized retail sectors.
In India, the emergence of shopping malls has
mostly has altered the lifestyle of the consumers.
With the growth in income, changing attitudes and
also the demographics patterns favor the emergence
of shopping malls.
Number of Floors
Pacific mall(Tilak Nagar, New Delhi), its consist of only 3
floors the ground floor, first floor, second floor and third
floor.
Almost every shop is occupied with various brands for food
services, accessories, shopping, spas and salons etc. It has
more than 150 stores and food outlets.
One can hardly find a shop at the mall which is not
occupied. The third floor is covered with a food court
including KFC, Mc Donald's, Pizza Express etc.

• This mall has combination of so many top-class brands.
• These includes both some national brands as well as international brands.

SERVICE BUSINESS SHOPS
THE MALL DOES NOT LACK IN ANY SERVICE BUSINESS SHOPS TOO. IT HAS VARIOUS SUCH SHOPS FOR FITNESS
AND BEAUTY. SOME OF THE SPAS AND SALONS AVAILABLE IN THE MALLS ARE:

• MONSOON SALON AND SPA
• LOOKS SALON
• KAYA CLINIC
SOME OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER SHOPS INCLUDE, I-WORLD ( COMPUTER STORE ), EMBARRY OF UNITED ARAB
EMIRATES ( FOREIGN CONSULATE ) , TITAN , GEM OPTICIAN ETC.
MOST VISITED SHOPS
• Mostly the food shops and shopping stores are some of the shops that are
visited frequently by the visitors.
• Some of the most visited shops are:
1. BURGER KING 5. BAGGIT
2. CHAI THELA 6. FOREVER 21
3. KFC 7. MAC
4. MC DONALDS 8. PANTALOONS
PARKING FACILITY
• The mall has a large area for parking in the basement and lower basement of
the building. The parking area can accommodate more than 2000 cars.
• The facility of valet parking has also been provided by the mall authorities at
the upper ground of the mall.
• The mall has ensured proper security for the vhicles of the visitors even
outside the mall premises. More than 10 watchmen are appointed for security
outside the mall. The parking area is secured with CCTV camera and
watchmen for each blocks.
CONCLUSION
The information thus collected from the respondents of the study presented
the prevailing situation of shopping malls in Delhi because of the changing
consumers moods, increasing purchasing power and more frequent visit of
teenagers, entrepreneurs have developed a new format for providing
merchandise and services ranging trough the shopping malls that attracts
them.
Whatever the clothing or style they want, whatever accessories to go over,
being hip hop or just playing casual, good retailers will provide them all.

  • 5. Introduction  The latest trend in this corporate universe is of the emergence of the shopping malls.  Shopping malls are an emerging trend in the global arena. The first thing that comes in our mind about the shopping mall is that it is a big enclosed building housing a variety of shops or products .According to historical evidence shopping malls came into existence in the middle ages, though it was not called so. The concept of the departmental stores came up in the 19th century with the industrial revolution. Consumers wanted a better shopping experience and this demand gave rise to the emergence of shopping malls in India.
  • 6.  Originally the first of the shopping malls was opened in the Paris. Then the trend followed in the other metros over the world and there was a spree of shopping malls coming up at various places. In this age of mass production and mass consumption, the concepts of shopping malls in order to peep through the window of the shop and often ending up buying something they like. The consumers desire a combination of comfort and suitability which the shopping malls cater to, and so this format of shopping has become so popular all over the world and especially so in India. The inclusion of amenities like restaurants, multiplexes, car parks, game parlor and many more other things which attract people to shopping malls, that considered family hangout zones.

  • 8. Advantages Increase in the growth of the organized retail sectors. Monumental increase in economic growth. Employment generation by the organized retail sector. Good competition means better products and services.

Disadvantages The companies with superior resources would muscles out the once inferior to them. Monopolization of the organized retail sectors. In India, the emergence of shopping malls has mostly has altered the lifestyle of the consumers. With the growth in income, changing attitudes and also the demographics patterns favor the emergence of shopping malls.

  • 11. Number of Floors Pacific mall(Tilak Nagar, New Delhi), its consist of only 3 floors the ground floor, first floor, second floor and third floor. Almost every shop is occupied with various brands for food services, accessories, shopping, spas and salons etc. It has more than 150 stores and food outlets. One can hardly find a shop at the mall which is not occupied. The third floor is covered with a food court including KFC, Mc Donald's, Pizza Express etc.

  • 15. SERVICE BUSINESS SHOPS THE MALL DOES NOT LACK IN ANY SERVICE BUSINESS SHOPS TOO. IT HAS VARIOUS SUCH SHOPS FOR FITNESS AND BEAUTY. SOME OF THE SPAS AND SALONS AVAILABLE IN THE MALLS ARE: • GEETANJALI SALON • MONSOON SALON AND SPA • LOOKS SALON • KAYA CLINIC SOME OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER SHOPS INCLUDE, I-WORLD ( COMPUTER STORE ), EMBARRY OF UNITED ARAB EMIRATES ( FOREIGN CONSULATE ) , TITAN , GEM OPTICIAN ETC.

  • 17. MOST VISITED SHOPS • Mostly the food shops and shopping stores are some of the shops that are visited frequently by the visitors. • Some of the most visited shops are: 1. BURGER KING 5. BAGGIT 2. CHAI THELA 6. FOREVER 21 3. KFC 7. MAC 4. MC DONALDS 8. PANTALOONS

  • 19. PARKING FACILITY • The mall has a large area for parking in the basement and lower basement of the building. The parking area can accommodate more than 2000 cars. • The facility of valet parking has also been provided by the mall authorities at the upper ground of the mall. • The mall has ensured proper security for the vhicles of the visitors even outside the mall premises. More than 10 watchmen are appointed for security outside the mall. The parking area is secured with CCTV camera and watchmen for each blocks.

CONCLUSION The information thus collected from the respondents of the study presented the prevailing situation of shopping malls in Delhi because of the changing consumers moods, increasing purchasing power and more frequent visit of teenagers, entrepreneurs have developed a new format for providing merchandise and services ranging trough the shopping malls that attracts them. Whatever the clothing or style they want, whatever accessories to go over, being hip hop or just playing casual, good retailers will provide them all.
