Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were both visionary founders of pioneering technology companies. Gates founded Microsoft in 1975 and grew it to become the worldwide leader in software. Jobs co-founded Apple Computers in 1976 and pioneered the personal computer revolution with GUI-based computers like the Mac. Both used their business successes to pursue philanthropic work later in life through organizations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

- John Scully ( CEO of PepsiCo.) replaced Steve as CEO of Apple, Apple fell from grace and became a niche market player, i.e. its market share was very small compared to other companies. Steve founded small computer manufacturing company. Pixar, an animation company that went on to produce Toy Story & A bugs life.
- To revive the apple as market share was failing, no new s/w development & outdated OS. Developed simple, stylish & internet friendly computer. Similarly to yesteryears MAC-GUI innovations, that caught fancy of people. Matured and looks to professional staff for ideas and advice. Owns only 1 share of Apple stock but works his heart out. As said by Oracle CEO & apples board member- Larry Ellison.
