The Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator aims to be efficient public servants who deliver basic services to the community in an inclusive, transparent and participatory manner. Their goals are to provide effective, reliable and sustainable local development planning services through formulating integrated economic, social and physical development plans. They will conduct research and training, integrate sectoral plans, monitor implementation of projects, and promote community participation in the local development process.

Provide an effective, reliable, sound and sustainable local development planning services and coordinate with
other planning agencies for the economic, social and physical upliftment of the community.
Objectives:
1. To formulate integrated economic, social, physical and other development plans and policies for
consideration of the local government development council.
2. Conduct continuing studies, researches and training programs necessary to evolve plans and programs for
implementation.
3. Integrate and coordinate all sectoral plans and studies undertaken by the different functional groups or
agencies.
4. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the different development programs, projects and activities in
the LGU in accordance with the approved development plans.
5. Promote people participation in development planning within the LGU
6. Exercise supervision and control over the secretariat of the local development council.
7. Exercise such other powers and perform such other functions and duties as may prescribe by the law.
