   Wayne State University, Detroit, MI
MS Thesis: Thermo-magnetic processing of high strength high toughness steel
   • Successfully produced an ADI-like structure by a process with 50% faster transformation time
      compared to the conventional process.
   • Carried out Fracture Toughness and Tension tests using the Material Test System (MTS) on a novel
type of steel subjected to magnetic heat treatment process.
   • Performed composition and microstructure analysis on this novel type of steel using X-ray
Diffractometer and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) respectively.
   • With diligent planning and successful execution, the experimental procedure was completed 2
      months ahead of completion time.
Internship Feb ′05 –
      June ′05
    Bosch Ltd, Bangalore, India
Distortion analysis of heat treated components
    • Established a statistical relationship between the number of parts rejected and the part diameter
which resulted in $20,000 per annum cost saving to the company.

    Graduate Projects 2006
