Patient-Centered Telemedicine Solutions

Improve patient outcomes, treatment quality and care
delivery while ensuring optimal resource allocation.
Telemedicine should enable effective
collaboration between patients and
treatment professionals while
facilitating a significant increase in
health and care delivery system
capacity. Implementation strategies
must ensure concurrent
improvements in treatment
outcomes and working conditions for
the health and care workers while
maintaining or reducing total cost.
Patients and treatment professionals
have experienced significant
improvements in treatment quality
with the increased use of
telemedicine services but have been
struggling to demonstrate a scalable
business case to allow a move from
demonstration projects to full-scale
operations.
Integration and standardisation on
open standards are the essential
core characteristics of all Viewcare
telemedicine solutions that ensure
scalability and applicability across
disease areas and geographic
locations ensuring effective and

efficient implementation for large
health and care delivery
organisations servicing thousands of
patients and community service
clients.
Automated call routing ensures that
patients using a fully integrated
Viewcare telemedicine service are
connected to the right treatment
professional at the right time
depending on the specific health
situation of the patient at the time
of the call.
Viewcare are specialists in
developing business cases with
customers and we stay with the
project until all benefits have been
realised by patients and treatment
professionals while also delivering
on all financial objectives.
Contact Viewcare for a presentation
and a demonstration of our fully
integrated telemedicine service
system. Supply us with data about

COPD in-patients at home
Viewcare supplies a full range of
integrated telemedicine services to
facilitate a clinicial trial investigating
the safety and efficacy of treating
COPD exacerbation in the patient’s
own home as an alternative to
admitting the patient to hospital.
The Viewcare telemedicine service
can be deployed in the patient’s own
home in less than one hour making
it a unique and attractive alternative
to acute admission to a hospital.
Our technology has proven itself to
be safe and effective and both
patients and treatment professionals
have expressed their satisfaction
with the way our technology
facilitates their remote collaboration
around treating the patient’s
condition.
Accessing doctors and specialists
from an ambulance on the move
Viewcare has developed a unique
mobile telemedicine platform, which
allows ambulance operators to
access the services of doctors and
specialists at A&E departments and
specialist wards by video and audio
link to the ambulance even when it
is on the move. This allows the right
specialist to be present for that
time-critical diagnosis which means
that the correct treatment can be
initiated and the patient taken to
the right treatment facility the first
time reducing the risk of having to
relocate the patient multiple times
during the course of an acute
treatment. In many cases the
presence of a specialist can ensure
initiation and completion of the
proper treatment on the spot and
may thus save the patient a ride on
an ambulance to hospital just to be
sent home again the same day or
next morning.

Monitoring chronic health conditions

People suffering from chronic health
conditions can benefit hugely from
monitoring their condition and
associated treatment by measuring
key health parameters in the safety
of their own home. By sharing these
measurements with remote
treatment professionals, at a
hospital or a community service
centre, treatment regimes can be
adjusted as needed to ensure that
the patient’s health condition
remains under control at all times.
Over time this allows the patient to
fully understand how they can
control their health situation, regain their independence and be less
reliant on the help of others. The
Viewcare telemedicine platform is
perfectly suited for this application
and is currently used by community
services in Denmark for patients
suffering from e.g. COPD and type 2
diabetes.
Acute rehabilitation

The full range of Viewcare
telemedicine services can be
deployed in any location in less than
an hour. We are currently working
closely with Danish community
service delivery organisations to
develop an acute rehabilitation
service delivered right in the home
of the citizen as an alternative to
either bringing the patient to a
temporary care home or admitting
the patient to a local hospital.
Offering rehabilitation in the home
greatly improves the chances of the
citizen being able to continue living
safely and in full control in the
comfort of their own home and this
is key to maintaining a good quality
of life. This also allows community
services to redirect their resources
to other areas of need.
