Packaged food sales increased 15.9% annually over 2010-2014 and are forecast to rise 13.2% through 2019 as incomes rise and consumers seek convenience.
StoxPlus is pleased to introduce Vietnam Animal Feed Market 2016 Report, the first and only issue of this industry. This report presents a broad range of topics, both sector-specific and cross-cutting market issues.
We have completed the review of Vietnam animal feed industry landscape covering market size and growth, competition dynamics, analysis of potential demand from end-used markets, profiles of key players. One of the focuses of this report is the emergence of Vietnamese giant companies in this sector and its sale strategies to get more market share from current players in the market. Ultimately, we assessed the feasibility of the market potentials as well as notable common issues that animal feed players and investors should be aware of when operating in Vietnam.

Vietnam fertilizer sector witnessed a total consumption of US$3.87bn, posting a growth of 4 per cent year-on-year. Meanwhile, exporting volume was pegged at 1,101 thousand MT, valuing at US$419mn. Under our base case, which is a prudent scenario based on analysis of macroeconomics and fertilizer demand factors such as crops, regions, and cultivation habits, we forecast a 4% annual demand growth for fertilizer until 2025.
Vietnam Cold Storage Market - right track to seize opportunities
Vietnam Cold Storage's occupancy rate is very high at over 90% at almost all cold storages: In our survey, it was surprising to find that the occupancy rate at almost cold storages is very high at over 90%, and that some have even reached full capacity. It is not yet peak season for seafood harvesting and export. The peak season is usually from May to October. However, the occupancy rate might fluctuate constantly, as each vendor only uses the storage for a couple of days to two weeks before shipping the inventory out.

Is there a minimum farm-size frontier for food security and agricultural comm...IFPRIMaSSP
Based on projections and scenario analyses of various agricultural data available for Malawi, this paper assesses the relationship between farm size of smallholder farmers and food security and agricultural commercialization indicators. The paper argues that depending on the agricultural technology used and prevailing biophysical and economic constraints there is a minimum farm size required for farming families to commercialize their agriculture and achieve food security inasmuch as there is a minimum or subsistence level of food and water consumption required for people to sustain life. Thus we develop a concept of the minimum farm size frontier, analogous to the production possibility frontier in production economics. It is contended that given current agricultural constraints and technologies in Malawi, a minimum farm size requirement can be estimated under differing scenarios, under which smallholder farmers can both commercialize their agriculture and meet their food security requirements. This analysis provides insights for the potential avenues of improving food security and agricultural commercialization over time, with distinct farm size dynamics. Specifically that increases in the mean farm size among farming households combined with increases in the number of households participating in non-farm economic activities will have to happen if Malawian agriculture is to substantially commercialize while achieving food security for the nation.

Emotional intelligence is defined by the ability to understand and manage our emotions and those around us. This quality gives individuals a variety of skills, such as the ability to manage relationships, navigate social networks, influence and inspire others. Every individual possesses different levels, but in order for individuals to become effective leaders, they’ll need a high level of emotional intelligence. In today’s workplace, it has become a highly important factor for success, influencing productivity, efficiency and team collaboration.

Levelwise PageRank with Loop-Based Dead End Handling Strategy : SHORT REPORT ...Subhajit Sahu
Abstract — Levelwise PageRank is an alternative method of PageRank computation which decomposes the input graph into a directed acyclic block-graph of strongly connected components, and processes them in topological order, one level at a time. This enables calculation for ranks in a distributed fashion without per-iteration communication, unlike the standard method where all vertices are processed in each iteration. It however comes with a precondition of the absence of dead ends in the input graph. Here, the native non-distributed performance of Levelwise PageRank was compared against Monolithic PageRank on a CPU as well as a GPU. To ensure a fair comparison, Monolithic PageRank was also performed on a graph where vertices were split by components. Results indicate that Levelwise PageRank is about as fast as Monolithic PageRank on the CPU, but quite a bit slower on the GPU. Slowdown on the GPU is likely caused by a large submission of small workloads, and expected to be non-issue when the computation is performed on massive graphs.

Techniques to optimize the pagerank algorithm usually fall in two categories. One is to try reducing the work per iteration, and the other is to try reducing the number of iterations. These goals are often at odds with one another. Skipping computation on vertices which have already converged has the potential to save iteration time. Skipping in-identical vertices, with the same in-links, helps reduce duplicate computations and thus could help reduce iteration time. Road networks often have chains which can be short-circuited before pagerank computation to improve performance. Final ranks of chain nodes can be easily calculated. This could reduce both the iteration time, and the number of iterations. If a graph has no dangling nodes, pagerank of each strongly connected component can be computed in topological order. This could help reduce the iteration time, no. of iterations, and also enable multi-iteration concurrency in pagerank computation. The combination of all of the above methods is the STICD algorithm. [sticd] For dynamic graphs, unchanged components whose ranks are unaffected can be skipped altogether.

**Pizza consumer foodservice data is compiled from three different subsectors (fast food, full-service restaurants, and 100%
home delivery/takeaway) for the purposes of comparison, but remains reflected within the figures for these subsectors, and thus
the consumer foodservice total. As such, pizza consumer foodservice is not counted as its own sector within the consumer
foodservice total.

ready meals at 20.8%. The health and wellness sector experienced a CAGR of 20.4% from 2010 to
2014 and will continue to grow by a CAGR of 17.5% from 2015 to 2019. Consumers are interested in
products that can provide health benefits at a good value.
• Urbanization is a core factor affecting the packaged food industry, and will continue to accelerate. With
consumers increasingly exposed to a Western lifestyle, they are seeking easy-to-prepare products that
help them save time. As consumers look for products that are convenient and offer a longer shelf life,
packaged food sales will continue to see growth.
