Jayant Shah is the founder and managing trustee of the Higher Education Support Trust in Bharuch, India. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and worked for 24.5 years at GNFC Ltd. in Bharuch before founding his trust in 2006. The trust supports financially needy but high-potential students to complete degrees in engineering, medicine, and other fields to help uplift their families. Mr. Shah was inspired to start the trust because he also came from a poor family and faced financial difficulties during his education.
