This document discusses Velo, a mobile app that aims to encourage more active bicycling by gamifying the experience. The app tracks user bicycling activity and assigns points/levels. It allows users to participate in challenges, ride with others virtually through "parties", and join or create communities. Over 40 million bicycles are sold annually in Indonesia but most users are "passive". Velo hopes to solve this by making bicycling a social, rewarding lifestyle through gameplay mechanics and connecting users. Mockups show how the app would track rides, user profiles, leaderboards and more to motivate increased bicycling.
