This document outlines a conceptual design for a 1-week challenge to encourage college students to develop the daily habit of eating vegetables. The design uses text message reminders and signage near the daily vegetable option to prompt participants to eat vegetables and report their consumption via text. Participants receive a mid-week email summarizing their progress individually and with friends to encourage accountability and continued participation. Potential limitations include some users ignoring the prompts and an inability to enforce consumption outside of meal settings. Expansions could include linking reports to social media and broadening participation on campus.
