city. Valencia enjoys a mild and pleasant climate throughout the year,

that runs through the port area.

highlighting the paella like dish known internationally.
Other traditional dishes are baked rice, rice to band (with fish), rice (with Squid in its own
ink), a soupy rice with beans and turnips or the fideua (which replaces the rice for noodles).
Orange is certainly the Valencian fruit par excellence. Its excellent quality and its different
varieties makes this fruit is an exquisite delicacy.
One of the Christmas sweets most popular and typical of the region is the Turron.
The horchata is a refreshing drink that is made with chufa, a tuber that is only grown in soils
of special characteristics, so it is exclusive of Valencia and has designation of origin.
