This is where you decide
what the requirements
are. What is the desirable
outcome of this project?
This Service Design stage is
a design stage which
considers all stakeholders
and interactions.
The viability of the
proposed project is
assessed at this stage.
The project is
validated at every
stage of the
process, even at
the Design and
Concept stage.
Functional
Architecture –
the project is
broken up into
functions to see
how they interact
together.
Here the system
is designed and
analysed through
physical
components
The physical
architecture of the
project is evaluated
to make sure all
components meet
requirements
Each subsystem is
now designed and
verified against the
defined
requirements
The final design is
created and
verified by looking
at how all units or
subsystems work
together.
At this stage, it is time to
build and manufacture
the final deliverable of
the project
Unit testing
involves testing
each component
before
integrating them
together
The components
are put into
larger
subsystems and
tested again
The subsystems
are finally put
together and
tested as a whole
system
The system is
validated using
the initial needs
and
requirements.
The system must
be maintained and
fixed if any
problems arise to
make sure it
continues meeting
the requirements
Once the system
can no longer
meet the
requirements, it is
disposed of
