Hollie Gardner presented on her role as User Experience Librarian and liaison to non-academic departments at Southern Methodist University. She acts as the library liaison to departments like Residence Life, Student Athletics, and Orientation to provide outreach, assessment and marketing of library services. Through her liaison work, she has learned to strategically select departments, leverage her official liaison title to open doors, and that some departments simply need a contact person in the library.
