utilization of computers and the subsequent increase in gethering of information is good or bad
development?
Solution
Compute came in to existence in this world during World War II. Today computers have
revolutionized the way information is produced and consumed.
We can easily store and retrieve data without much risk .A lot of information can be produced
and we can keep authorized access too. There is sharing of knowledge and innovations between
countries because of computers and internet. Computers have made the development of the
world faster. Indeed there are countries like India which has come to the centre of this world
because of computers and information technology. Computers save a lot of time and money.
Because of computers and internet citizen of the world can learn from digitized books and online
courses from best Universities of the world. Thus, it has helped create a flatter world. It has
reduced paper use and hence led to saving of trees.
1 Computer makes life easier.
2 We can store & retrieve data without much risk.
3 Computer save a lot of time & money.
Disadvantages
1. Unemployment gets increased since man is replaced by machine.
2. Health of people deteriorating due to decreased physical activity.
3. Risk of data theft. Critical information regarding personal and financial data can be stolen.
The paradox of this advancement is that we are growing more distant from each other when we
choose technological gadgets such as smartphones, computers, television, and the like our
primary means of communicating with each other. It is affecting our relationships. On the other
hand it has reduced physical boundaries.
A coin has two faces; similarly computers have its advantages and disadvantages. It is ones
responsibility to make judicious use of this technology.
