Using Technology to Facilitate K-12 Instruction
Young children's brains are well suited for the use of technology.
Technology for children looks like students using cameras, computers, tape recorders and video cameras in classroom projects.
When technology is used in the classroom appropriately, it can be a great tool for developing higher order thinking skills.
Technology use in the classroom allows students to actively think about information and execute skills that would otherwise be done by the teacher.
Technology should be combined with traditional teaching methods and lessons to make lessons comprehensive, engaging and interactive.
Technology can contribute to almost any lesson, and make learning more fun and engaging for students.
It can also help them make connections to their own world and open their eyes to different ideas and cultures.
Students tend to not only like their classes more, but they develop positive attitudes when their class instruction includes the use of technology.
