Sino-Nordic Eco village in Changsha – potential for Nordic
suppliers
Nordicflexhouse (www.nordicflexhouse.dk), Baerebo AS (www.baerebo.org), China Construction 4.0 Platform
(www.construct4.cn) and Hunan Modern Agricultural Group are set to establish an Ecovillage of 100.000 m2 in
the city of Changsha in the Hunan Province. The Ecovillage will consist of energy efficient prefabricated houses,
vertical farming, geothermal solutions, recycling of waste, water solutions and smart home solutions.
The partners have developed an Ecovillage platform that they would like to implement in Changsha and eventually
in other rural areas in China. Based on the Construction 4.0 principles and China’s 5000 years of civilization, the
ecovillage concept as it has been developed in Denmark for decades will be transformed to local settings and result
in a livable and sustainable village.
The Ecovillage will be part of an international Eco Smart Agriculture Park, consisting of Agriculture and Villages,
Greenhouses (vertical farming) and an incubation facility in a Nordic Business Park.
Nordicflexhouse therefore invites Nordic companies and organizations with technologies and competences in the
following areas to join the Ecovillage project and the Eco Smart Agriculture Park:
● Heating/Cooling, Ventilation, Air Quality, Water & Waste management & sustainable
agriculture
