Ubaldo Balderas has over 5 years of experience as a Power and Analog Electronics Engineer in the aerospace industry. He has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and some graduate work. He has experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting analog and power electronics circuits. He is proficient in engineering tools such as MATLAB, PSpice, Saber, and software languages including Java, Python, C++, and SQL. Currently he works as a Quality Assurance Engineer where he writes test scripts and supports software deployment.
Electrical Engineer in search of a team to join that values creativity, continual learning, and bringing value to the marketplace that goes beyond the bottom line. In other words, I want to do good work with great people.

2. RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Electrical Engineer, UTC Aerospace Systems (Hamilton Sundstrand)01/2008 – 07/2013
Electrical Engineer for the Space Systems Enterprise, were I analyzed and generated requirements
documentation, along with holding review meetings according to internal processes and procedures, with
internal and external customers.
Designed, built, and tested analog and power electronics circuits in accordance with Aerospace and
Space Industry standards (including Radiation hardened components). Hardware designed includes small
breadboards for concept and prototype testing, along with Printed Wired Boards (PWBs, or PCBs) with
multiple functions, such as Remote power distribution cards, Communications Interface cards, and
Internal Power Supplies. Developed test procedures and collected data in accordance with standard
processes and procedures, from which deliverable reports were generated.
Evaluated and analyzed design concepts using simulation tools and numerical computation software.
Used MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, and Saber to simulate circuits; used MATLAB and/or Excel to create
numerical analysis.
Developed simulation models for Power Management and Distribution Systems, which included models
for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), circuit models for Remote Power Controllers (RPCs, also called Solid
State Power Controllers, SSPCs) and other lower level circuits, which include use of new Silicon Carbide
FETs. With these models we generated transient response analysis and fault analysis across the Power
Management and Distribution System.
Worked with several Electronics Test Engineers during test equipment design. Met and discussed
testability and desired test methods for hardware, and provided support during preliminary testing.
Provided on-site support to suppliers and customers during preliminary testing, acceptance testing and
system integration of designed hardware. Captured issues, performed analysis and troubleshooting.
Solutions were integrated into the hardware following standard engineering change processes and
procedures.
• Quality Assurance Engineer, Accruent 02/2014 – Current
Discussed and analyzed new features, bugs and client issues to be resolved and/or developed for testing
purposes. Wrote Powershell, SQL scripts and other software tools to be used during testing.
Support of software deployment processes, by managing deployment scripts in charge of building and distributing
software code to databases and servers hosting the applications for the QA/Dev testing environments. Software
version control is maintained using Visual Studio TFS.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Hispanic Leadership Forum Lead: Active committee member of the UTC Internal Hispanic Leadership
Forum (HLF) for the last 3 years, and served as the lead last year. Organized and coordinated many
events, including lunch and learn events, discussion panels on Professional Development, and many
other joint efforts between Employee Groups.
Young Professionals Organization: Active member, participating in volunteering activities helping the
community, along with Professional Development activities for the Young professionals in the company.
