PEDESTRIAN
BROOKLYN BRIDGE
CYCLE TRACK
A separated and safe route is provided for
pedestrian and cyclists over the vehicular
route on the bridge.
Lamp post and signages are provided over
the handrail of pedestrian bridge.
The cyclist and pedestrian path have been
demarcated by white painted lines.

The bridge caters to three different
types of movements.

6. Pedestrian path is provided on both sides of the street.
Street light poles are provided towards one side of the
street
Dropped kerb and signages provided along the
crossing

7. Less no. of street light poles were provided in this area as most of
the area had light lamps mounted over the facade of the buildings.

8. Wide area is provided around the trees in the pavement which is covered with
perforated mesh :
● So that water can penetrate to the roots of the trees easily.
● Mesh helps to keep the soil settled to the level of the paved area

11. Fountain at the center of the plaza
Circular seating is provided around the fountain ( looks
like a floating ring )
Lighting is provided on the fountain and on the pillars of the
surrounding buildings only .

12. Bollards are provided along pedestrian path on one side
Cycle track and vehicular lane division is demarcated through
white lines.
Colour contrast is noticed in the materials of the pedestrian
path and vehicular area

13. ● This area connects to the arcade on one side and to the park on the other side
● Only staircase is provided for vertical circulation (not universally accessible)
● Two levels are united by two grand staircases and a lesser one that passes under the road
● Public plaza is connected to the road above through staircase

CONNECTING METRO STATION
The subway in the metro station where there is
light display.
It gives vibrant effect during the dark time.
