2. I have recently come across two briefings, within the
very same week, that have brought about such a painful
reading experience to me!
Then, instead of cursing CAPS LOCK, I've decided it'll
be more useful if I help people whose routine
somehow includes creating content for others in their
typographic choices.

3. Once upon a time, uppercase
was the only option...
Trajan's Column (113 CE) is a concrete (!) evidence of this
era, when these letters were used to compose an entire
text about the feats of the roman emperor.
4. Some time later...
Trajan did not have the chance to see the
introduction of carolingian, a variation brought by
his successor Charlemagne, from which the
minuscules of our days have been originated.
5. And over the alphabet history, our current system have
been stablished: uppercase and lowercase letters
coexist in texts; the former with specific functions like in
first names, to begin sentences and the beautiful
CAPITALS.
A little bit more of history, and we shall grasp the core
of the issue.

6. Jumping to XIX
century...
we meet DISPLAY fonts: large,
bold letters "shouting" for
attention in the advertising
posters.
8. Yes, display fonts and uppercase have
their roles in titles, headlines etc.
"Call" the reader in the TITLE, once you got them, there is
no reason to keep that "entonation" for lines and entire
text blocks.
IT IS NOT PLEASANT TO READ ;)
