development.
General Manager (2003-2013)
Professionalized an all volunteer Association including establishment of vision/mission, strategic plan, program goals, annual
budget, fundraising plan, board development and all steps to qualify for national funding, grants, philanthropic contributions and
private donations. From marketing to fundraising, “put Spina Bifida on the map.”
 Averaged $500,000 a year in grants, contributions, fundraising via special events, and donated equipment and services
 Achieved goal of locating all services in a fully-accessible multi-million dollar building by maximizing allocation of
government, foundation and donor funding and the development of income-generating patient services.
 Designed, developed and implemented first fundraising campaign that ultimately increased fundraising over ten year
period by 600 percent.
 Introduced and implemented financial and budgetary controls as well as reporting procedures to Boards, government and
other funding organizations.
 Established and then heightened awareness through marketing and public relations efforts that led to 85 media stories, 20
radio interviews and four television features which ultimately resulted in the Association becoming a household name
especially among people affected by Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.
 Developed first national wheelchair rugby team and generated exclusive sponsorship.

Developed Dreamland Cottage as an Irish tourism attraction including transitioning from farmhouse to vacation destination;
marketing and relationship management with Irish Tourism Board. Consulted and designed special events in both the US and
Europe.
