This document summarizes a student's work on an assignment to create a 3D robot model. Over several weeks, the student completed tutorials to learn the modeling software LightWave. For my first week on the assignment my first task was to complete a set of LightWave tutorials. These ranged from making a camera to making a bat. The reason
for this was so we could get used to the programs and get a feel of what all the tools do and how to use them, also I started work on Task 1 – Project Charter, the
purpose of this task was to review our strengths and weaknesses as well as talk about if we know what to do and what constraints we may have.

This week I mainly just continued work on the LightWave tutorials.

2. Date: 17/03/14
This week I did some more LightWave tutorials, but also started Task 2 - Schedule, for this task I had to on a weekly basis mark down what I have done so far but
also use it for time management to make a date for when I think I’ll have our tasks finished. Also i started my production log, where I would write each week
what tasks I did. Finally I also started Task 6 - Model Production, where I made a basic start on an early idea for my robot.

This week I finally finished my LightWave Tutorials, and I also started and completed Task 3 – Research, Task 4 – Ideas Generation and Task 5 – Design Pack. For
Task 3 I had to research some ideas of famous popular robots/sidekicks so I could get an idea on how to design my character, for Task 4 I made a mind map of
what the robot’s job was, it’s offensive and defensive capabilities and its use for Entertainment., for Task 5 we received some design sheets I would draw the
front and side of my robot so I could use the designs to help me make my robot on LightWave. Also I designed some more of my robot.

3. Date: 31/03/14
This week I continued designing my robot on Lightwave.

4. Date: 21/04/14
After a 2 week break off college I continued work on my robot. Also I had a quick try on Layout to get a feel of the program before using my robot on the
program.

This week I finally finished my robot and also started and completed Task 7 – Presentation. For Task 7 I put my robot onto Layout and used a template
background for the screenshots First I would add various textures to my robot as it made it look a lot better compared to the standard colours and it looked
really nice with the lighting on Layout. After choosing the textures I would take 13 screenshots of my robot from various angles and positions to show off all the
features of my robot.

5. Date: 05/05/14
This week I started Task 8 – Review, for this task I would evaluate my assignment and how I felt I did with making the Sidekick as well as go over my strengths
and weaknesses in the assignment as well.

This week I finished off the review and all of my assignment as a whole.
