Simple Past Tense
 The Simple Past is used to talk about actions or events in

the past.
Examples: Simple Past
 Use this tense:
 when you want to tell someone about any event in the past
 to discuss any actions that happened in the past time.
 These words tell you that a sentence is in the past tense: few seconds ago, 1 minute

ago, 2 minutes ago, 30 minutes ago, day ago, weeks ago, months ago, years ago.

 For example:
 I walked to school yesterday.
 I watched a movie last night.
 I went to hajj last month.

 I ate McDonalds during the lunch time.
 I played football with my friends an hour ago.

 The Verb “To be” has two form in the simple past: WAS and WERE.
