Your teacher/tutor may clarify the wording in the activities but cannot provide
any guidance in completionof the task.
This task mustbe completed under supervisionintimetabledsessions
Plan your time carefully for the prep and completion of all activities. You will
need to create, source andprepare materials for your chosen brief over the
next 12 weeks (fromthe 22/1/18 onwards)
Your teacher may give guidance on when you can complete the preparation
Your teacher cannot give you feedback during the prep period.
You will needto submit the following materials:
1. A digital, annotated index of created and sourced materials.
2. A digital, annotatede-portfolio of prepared, edited and/or manipulated
materials fromthe index.
3. A completedmediaproduct corresponding to a chosen brief.
4. A fully completed authenticationsheet.
All digital outcomes for individual briefs should be saved in file types
specified in the assessmentbrief.

Activity 1:Index
Create an annotated and fully referenced index of all created and sourced
materials you intend to use in your product.
Total for Activity 1 = 20 marks
Activity 2:e-portfolio
Create an annotated, digital, e-portfolio of your preparation, editing and/or
manipulation processes.
Total for Activity 2 = 20 marks
Activity 3:Your Mediaproduct (Videoad, e-Magazine, Radioad)
Construct/build a completed media product that meets the requirements of
your chosen brief.

Duringthesupervisedassessment
CENTRE NUMBER_REGISTRATION NUMBER_SURNAME_FORENAME.
During the supervised assessment activity, candidates must only have access to
the files required for the assessment, such as the assets and material created,
sourced and prepared bythe learner during the preparatoryperiod.
These assets/materials must be saved in the candidate’sfolder in the protected
network area as outlined above.
Although candidatesmay convert the formatof their assets/material during the
assessment, files should not be converted by the centre on the candidate’s
behalf.
These user areas should notbe available to candidatesat any other time other
than during thesupervised assessment activity.
Assets/material should not be stored in a shared area or central location where
anyone can access them.

It is each candidate’s responsibility to ensurethat their assets/materials are
saved in a formatthat they can access and that is compatiblewith the software
to be used.
Each candidateshould be allowed sufficientstorage space to be able to save
their work.
Candidates may notbring portablestorage media (e.g. portablestoragedevises,
CDs) into the supervised assessment activity.
Candidates must nothave access to pre-prepared templatesbut they may use
the features of software, such as software-specific templates and help facilities.
Candidates will not have access to the internet at any time during the
supervised assessment.
This assessment is computer-based. Candidateswill complete the set task on a
computer and will save their work.
Evidence of the process of sourcing and creating assets (Activity 1) and how the
assets/material has been prepared, edited and/or manipulated (Activity2)
should be submitted in an appropriatefile format, such as .PDF, .mp3 or .mp4.
This evidence should not be submitted in file formatsthatare only accessible
through specific platformse.g. MicrosoftPublisher (.pub) or Pages(.pages) files.
The assets themselves should be saved in a formatthatis suitable for inclusion
within the final product.
The file format for the final product(Activity 3) is stipulated in each set task
brief.
An authentication sheet is required confirming thatlearner work has been
completed as directed. This sheet will be available to download from the
Pearson website.
