This unit covers analyzing media products and audiences through four learning objectives. The first objective has two parts - understanding media institutions through Celador Films and analyzing the film The Descent and its posters. The second objective focuses on understanding audiences for the film. The third objective examines the distribution and promotion of the film and posters. The final objective requires understanding legal, ethical and regulatory issues related to media products and their effects on audiences. Students will complete detailed work for assessment on each learning objective with deadlines for drafts, feedback, and final submissions.
