Our theme for the evening will be: 'Unleashing the power of public private partnerships (PPPs)'. During the evening Union members tell us that diversity in their partnerships leads to a higher level creativity and more successful innovation. So this Union is all about different types and sizes of organisations coming together to unlock their potential together in partnership. If you’re in a private company wanting to work with a university or other public sector organisation, come along. Similarly if you are in a large organisation wanting to partner with a smaller one you will find this topic of interest.

Softweb is a network for social innovation:
 Social incubation for project holders and NPOs
 Participatory lab
 Social innovation consulting

 80-100 project holders receive free advise each year
 Social entrepreneurship day organized in partnership with
University of Geneva and other key partners each
November – with 150-200 participants
 Projects we have supported have received different
awards (Ashoka, IDDEA, etc.)
 Thematic partnerships with international organizations
(Canada, France, Morocco, Belgium, etc.)

 Social entrepreneurship is intertwinkled with who you are and
what you went through as an individual ; atypical
entrepreneurs (from different cultures/backgrounds/etc.) are
prone to creating « different » businesses
 Throughout their missions, many humanitarians have
developed unique skills that they do not always know how to
position when they come back from the field and want to come
back to civil life
 Women entrepreneurs and people with an international
background may find it harder to setup and grow their
business due to specific needs and possible lack of
information

 Helpdesk for humanitarians returning from the field, with the
wish to stay in the humanitarian field or to change carriers,
allowing them to know where to start to build their next career
step
 Mentoring for people who want to transition
 Affordable training and coaching services for project holders
 Large collaboration with different partners in Switzerland and
near-by France to ensure the best level of support
