Filippo has been working with Unilever for 6 months as Skin Cleansing Global CMI intern based in Rotterdam.
He moved to Rotterdam to take on this assignment from Paris where he graduated at ESCP Europe. Prior to his
stint with Unilever, he held various internship assignments from sales, business development & finance in
London & Milan.
On top of his internship job description, Filippo took challenging tasks to extend his skills in strategy
development, market research and marketing. He delivered a strategic review of Badedas in Italy &
opportunities for Italian business which provided a strategic framework for brand relaunch. He prepared a
robust & succinct analysis showing the big picture and financial opportunities for brand to capitalise. He did
this analysis in his second month. He learns new skills & tools very quickly and able to embed these in a
strategic, consumer & business cantered way. To land his recommendations in the business, he shared these
with key stakeholders and made sure the recommendations taken forward for brands growth in future.
When Filippo’s line manager went on medical leave, he step up to take extra responsibilities where he became
main point of contact for Baby Care category for brands like Zwitsal & Fissan that operate in Europe & South
East Asia. He helped the team to craft concepts and validate them in key markets. He also started to work with
me directly on Mexico related projects, where he prepared a strategic brand and market review to show the
opportunities, validate & recommend innovation plan for future growth of our brand in Mexico as well as help
developing & optimising visual assets – ie pack – through the use of new techniques. His previous internships
& education provided him an understanding of business environment, and with CMI role he expanded his
understanding to consumer driven strategic management.
I have truly enjoyed working with Filippo; he possesses a strong business & consumer mindset, he is growth
