Ulysses and the Achaeans won the Trojan War but on his journey home, Ulysses lost all his ships and companions except for himself. He faced many adventures including encounters with the Ciconians, Lotuseaters, Cyclops Polyphemus, Aeolus, Laestrygonians, Circe, the Kingdom of Hades, Sirens, Scylla and Charybdis, and the island of the God Sun. Eventually, the Phaeacians helped Ulysses return home to Ithaca where he killed the Suitors and reclaimed his palace.
