The introductory slide deck delivered by Jon Abbott and Ryan Pavey at our UK Ergonomics Forum in the heart of London's Whitehall area. Designer Babies
Designer babies refers to selecting desirable traits for embryos through IVF. While it could treat genetic diseases, there are ethical concerns. Allowing trait selection could negatively impact society through increased discrimination, reduced diversity, and treating children as commodities. There are also concerns about commercialization and restricting access to only the wealthy. Regulating gene editing to prevent physical/psychological harm while allowing disease treatment through techniques like PGD requires difficult consideration of these complex issues.

Cognitively, the brain grows rapidly through myelination and connections between hemispheres, supporting advances in memory, attention, and motor skills. By age 5, the brain weighs 90% of an adult's. Most children show preference for right or left handedness by the end of the preschool years.

Introduction
The number 2 graphic (figure below) is characterized as Cherry angiomas that appear in older adults. With time cherry angiomas turn dark, though after infection it is identified by round tiny bright ruby red papules. As age numerically increase Dunphy et al (2015) argues that the disease virtually occurs to everyone above the age of 30 years. One of the ways in which I would perform differential diagnosis is by observing the skin of a patient who is 70 years of age.

SUBJECTIVE DATA:
Chief Complaint (CC): AB comes in clinic complaining about development of hard red bumps on the chest
History of Present Illness (HPI): Patient AB who is 70 years old comes in the hospital with complaints of having red bumps on his chest that appeared 2 weeks ago. He states that he wants to be done aa physical examination to be performed. AB says that last year he developed at least 4 new bumps on his chest that formed gradually. He is filled with anxiety because upon doing a Google search about his condition, he found that it could some tumors that are developing on his chest. He deniesrefutes any bleeding, painful and itchy bumps, exudation, or any climate variations. The bumps are located around the chest and the abdomen. AB says he has not come into contact with an irritant, denies having a fever, or does he take medications. Also, he reports he is neither under stress nor lifestyle changes. He claims, no one in his family lineage has ever been diagnosed with skin cancer.

Allergies: NKDA
Past Medical History (PMH): identified with stage 4 blood pressure Hypertension and the age of 60 which was well managed.
Past Surgical History (PSH): At age 40, his left shoulder was repaired from a torn rotator cuff.

Personal/Social History: denies smoking, taking alcohol, substance abuse, or under any influence of ETOH

Cerebral palsy case study
Abby Jones is a 5-year-old girl diagnosed with severe quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy with athetosis. She was born prematurely at 28 weeks and spent 5 months in the NICU. Her treatment plan focuses on range of motion, strength, balance, and standing exercises both in the pool and on land. In the pool, activities help challenge her respiratory system and facilitate movement. On land, exercises include stretching, joint mobilization, and adaptive cycling. Her progress is slow given her involvement, but maintaining flexibility and preventing worsening of impairments is considered progress for her condition.
Lifespan Developmental Psychology

Introduction
The number 2 graphic (figure below) is characterized as Cherry angiomas that appear in older adults. With time cherry angiomas turn dark, though after infection it is identified by round tiny bright ruby red papules. As age numerically increase Dunphy et al (2015) argues that the disease virtually occurs to everyone above the age of 30 years. One of the ways in which I would perform differential diagnosis is by observing the skin of a patient who is 70 years of age.

SUBJECTIVE DATA:
Chief Complaint (CC): AB comes in clinic complaining about development of hard red bumps on the chest
History of Present Illness (HPI): Patient AB who is 70 years old comes in the hospital with complaints of having red bumps on his chest that appeared 2 weeks ago. He states that he wants to be done aa physical examination to be performed. AB says that last year he developed at least 4 new bumps on his chest that formed gradually. He is filled with anxiety because upon doing a Google search about his condition, he found that it could some tumors that are developing on his chest. He deniesrefutes any bleeding, painful and itchy bumps, exudation, or any climate variations. The bumps are located around the chest and the abdomen. AB says he has not come into contact with an irritant, denies having a fever, or does he take medications. Also, he reports he is neither under stress nor lifestyle changes. He claims, no one in his family lineage has ever been diagnosed with skin cancer.
Medications: none
Allergies: NKDA
Past Medical History (PMH): identified with stage 4 blood pressure Hypertension and the age of 60 which was well managed.
Past Surgical History (PSH): At age 40, his left shoulder was repaired from a torn rotator cuff.
Sexual/Reproductive History: Married and not sexually active.
Personal/Social History: denies smoking, taking alcohol, substance abuse, or under any influence of ETOH
Immunization History: His immunizations are current. In 2017, he got immunized of Pneumococcal vaccines and influenza vaccine
Significant Family History: Living with no parents who perished from a car accident. Living with his healthy daughter whom he got at his 30s
Social History: Live with her daughter and his 3 grandchildren. Being a widow for 8 years, he has been working as an engineer before he retired. In his free time, he does light exercises. Every day he attends catholic mass and then joins his 6 friends for breakfast at the local diner.

Cerebral palsy case study
Abby Jones is a 5-year-old girl diagnosed with severe quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy with athetosis. She was born prematurely at 28 weeks and spent 5 months in the NICU. Her treatment plan focuses on range of motion, strength, balance, and standing exercises both in the pool and on land. In the pool, activities help challenge her respiratory system and facilitate movement. On land, exercises include stretching, joint mobilization, and adaptive cycling. Her progress is slow given her involvement, but maintaining flexibility and preventing worsening of impairments is considered progress for her condition.
Lifespan Developmental Psychology
This document provides an overview of lifespan developmental psychology and discusses several key stages of development from conception through adulthood. It notes that lifespan development involves physical, cognitive, and psychological changes that occur throughout life. There are various periods of growth including zygote, embryo, fetus, infancy, toddlerhood, and adolescence. While there is no cure, managing stress, maintaining social support networks, and proactive coping strategies can help delay progression. Research is ongoing for new treatments through organizations like the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance.

Cranial osteopathy

Cranial osteopathy uses light touch to relieve pressure areas, which can immediately calm and relax babies or provide a burst of renewed energy in children, helping to alleviate conditions and supporting development without long-term side effects.

Safe Transport is Good for Business - Nina Day
In this talk from the Health and Safety Executive's Nina Day, delivered at our Fleet Risk Forum at London's Churchill War Rooms in December 2016, Nina discussed how companies can manage their transport to lessen their risk.
Transport is key to most companies, and even small issues in the transport chain can quickly become big problems if they are not tackled effectively. Nina talked about how companies
can manage their transport to reduce the risks and costs associated with vehicle movements on site, working on customer sites, safe loading and unloading, and driver behaviour.
Nina’s talk encapsulated this issue across all fleet types, including advice for cars, light commercial vehicles and HGV operators, providing a wide-ranging scope for all fleet managers.
