Examples Of Free Will In A Midsummer Night s Dream
The theme, fate vs. free will, occurs multiple times in A Midsummer Night s Dream. Fate vs.
free will, occurs in Acts, One, Two, Three, Four, and Five. Shakespeare uses the magic of fairies,
or character to influence situations and people. The fairies take away free will on multiple
occasions, which creates conflict or a comical tone during scenes. Few occurrences of free will
take place in A Midsummer Night s Dream. Firstly, Eques will not allow Hermiato marry Lysander.
Hermia loves Lysander, but Eques, her father, disapproves of Lysander. Next, Puck, a magical fairy,
influences multiple characters throughout the play. Characters include, Lysander, Demetrius,
Bottom, and Titania. These characters lose free will and are all influenced... Show more content on

Puck manipulates Titania and Bottom through magic. Titania loses all free will, while Bottom
is changed into a donkey against his will. For example, And thy fair virtue s force perforce doth
move me On the first view to say, to swear, I love thee (3.1, 140 41, Shakespeare). Titania loves
Bottom, who has the head of a donkey, against her free will. Oberon placed a love potion on
Titania s eyes, which resulted in Titania loving Bottom. Furthermore, Bottom was changed into a
donkey by Puck. The lines, I see their knavery: this is to make an ass of me; to fright me, if they
could (3.1, 119 20, Shakespeare), allow the reader to know Bottom has the head of a donkey. In
Scene Two, Hermia, Helena, Lysander, and Demetrius have conflict. In the lines, Now she holds
me not; Now follow, if thou darest, to try whose right, of thine or mine, is most in Helena (3.2,
336 37, Shakespeare), Lysander begins to argue with Demetrius about Helena. Lysander s loss of
free will results in conflict. In the lines, I will not trust you, I, nor longer stay in your curst
company. Your hands than mine are quicker for a fray, my legs are longer though, to run away
(3.2, 341 44, Shakespeare), Helena is attempting to run away from the situation because Hermia was
upset with the situation. Act Three summarizes the conflict. Shakespeare uses the loss of free will
to spark conflict

Literary Analysis Of A Good Man Down
Literary Analysis of A Good Man Down
In the Sports Illustrated article A Good Man Down, author Lee Jenkins utilizes the elements of tone,
insightful word choice, and structure to tell the story of a coach and community who, when faced
with tragedies, displayed the grit of small town values.
The verbose tone of the story begins by describing Ed Thomas s obsession with his football field.
In order to accurately capture Thomas s passion for football, Jenkins goes into great detail
describing the meticulous care and protection Thomas gave to make sure the field was in prime
condition. The tone shifts when Jenkins describes the school s barn by saying, That s where
Thomas kept the big orange lawn mower he used to cut the grass. It s also where he was shot and
killed two days earlier. Here, the author goes from something as mundane as describing a barn, to
abruptly informing the reader of Thomas s death. The stark tone of the last sentence drastically
changes the mood of the writing from small town living to murder. Jenkins wanted readers to
experience the same shock the townspeople felt when they lost a key figure in their community.
Jenkins technique of diversifying tone early in the article was very effective towards gaining the
reader s attention.
Another exemplary example of Jenkin s control over tone was when he described Thomas s death.
The tone fit the actions displayed in the event; mournful and emotional. Jenkins describes the
emotions of Brandon Simkins, an up and coming running back, as he watches his coach, the one
he had dreamed playing for perish in front of him. Brandon wanted so badly to play for Thomas,
and you could feel that through the author s wistful tone. After Brandon s dream of playing for
Thomas was taken away, the tone shifts translates to anger and disappointment. Jenkins conveys
Brandon s feelings by saying, After they got out, he punched the door closed, hitting it so hard he
bruised his fist. The ferocity of tone and word choice in this paragraph help the reader feel the
situation at hand, not just hear about it.
When Parkersburg was rocked by the effects of the tornado, Jenkins describes the coach s reaction
as he came to the side of the field by writing, ...he stared

Narrative Essay About Thalassomania
Thalassomania: a passion for the sea When I was in the sixth grade my best friend, Makayla,
took me surfing for the first time. On August 29th, we went to our favorite beach Pacific City. I
fell in love with the ocean, beach, sand between my toes, and the feeling of being a surfer.
Surfing all day long with an endless amount of laughs and smiles, we brought our rental
surfboards back to the shop were we got them from. It just so happened that the shop closed at 6,
but we didn t realize that. Her mom wasn t feeling comfortable just leaving the surf boards by
the shop, so her mom bought a room at the nearest hotel. Makayla and I were very pleased with
this. The day was over, our tired bodies and hair smelling of salt, we had a great night of... Show

There was about 10, and I was so anxious. My family looked at them, and none of them were
beginner boards. Walking up to a store employee, I asked if they had any beginner boards for
sale. He walked me over to an area where the beginner boards were. To my disappointment, they
were all around $600. My family wasn t willing to pay that much, and I didn t want them to.
Discouraged, we went to a different surf shop. Where we also found out the surf boards were
about the same price. We went to out to lunch and my parents thought about what else I may
want. They offered me a compromise. Since renting a surfboard is only $25, they offered to put
money in a bank account for me just for surfing. I agreed and was very pleased with this idea. I
had some money saved up so we went back to the first surf shop we went to and I bought a
wetsuit. For the rest of the day my younger brother and I surfed with rental boards.
Leaving the beach that night, I was just as happy with the compromise my parents made for me,
as I would have been with my very own surfboard. That day taught me a lot about who I was and
wanted to be. I wanted to be a surfer girl with my very own surfboard. Who I was, was a city girl
living in the suburbs with the dream of being a surfer. I liked the idea better of having my very
own surfboard, just to feel more like a surfer. When in reality, it doesn t matter who I want to
seem like, it s who I dream to be, how I achieve my dream, and what my perception of myself

rising car ownership rates. Both of these trends will also favor healthy growth in the Africa/Mideast

lubricants, greater global competition and increasingly stringent environmental rules result in
reduced or negative growth in lubricant demand in the more developed countries of North America

Canadian Identity
History has shaped Canada by molding essential components that represent Canada today, such as

Canada today. This involves, the victory in Vimy Ridge, women s changing roles, and the growing
economy during 1920s. As a result, these forces that shaped Canadathroughout the 1900s,

Before WWI, women had limited job options with low pay, such as teaching, leaving many
women stay in their traditional roles as wives, mothers, and domestic workers. However, when
men enlisted in WWI and the war effort needed workers to make supplies, ships, tanks, bombs,
etc, many women found themselves doing the same jobs as men. When the men returned from
the war, they took back their jobs, but this caused many women to no longer be satisfied by
playing their traditional roles. This created consequences, were women fought for their right to
vote, greater educational and job opportunities, be able to hold jobs with higher power, and
improved labour laws and health care. After many challenges to get equal rights, most women
were finally able to obtain a right to vote in 1919, and gain entry to higher job opportunities while
being considered as persons in 1929. Compare to Canada today, there is one thing that has
continued throughout the years, and that is the fight for equality. However, the change is that
women are no longer fighting for equal education and health care, but equal pay and the ability to
hold higher positions. For example, in 1921, Agnes Macphail was the first woman elected to the
House of Commons, resulting in 1 woman out of 235 seats. After the shift of values, Canada has

Some well known, legendary samurai known today are Miyamoto Musashi and Ito Ittosai, both
notable for their undefeated records in combat. The samurai came into conception in the early
10th century, of men who ascended from numerous clans. They were provincial warriors servicing
aristocrats and eventually the samurai class achieved equal status with that of aristocracy and then
amassed enough power claiming hegemony over them. The samurai eventually became too
powerful they set up a Bakufu government and ordered the Emperor to grant the dominant
samurai clan leader, the title of SHogun (Similar in vain to that of Generalissimo). There is a
notable style of change that underwent between the earlier samurai who were scattered across the
regions and engaged in individual combat to eventually banding together and working underneath
a daimyo in each region. Usually associated with using long and imposing swords, these killing
tools were not always their weapon of choice. The samurai first heavily utilized bow and arrows
transitioning to swords and then with the advent of trade from groups like the Dutch, began to use
firearms. However, the samurai sword continues to be an endearing symbol and weapons that is
closely associated to samurai that still endures to this very day. When we think of samurai we think
of these badass warriors. This belief and misconception may have delved especially from the
samurai who fought during the Sengoku (Warring States)

The Importance Of The Women Of New France
The Importance of the Women of New France
Throughout history males have been perceived as the dominant sex. This notion had been
strong in Europe and most of the Western World. The colony of New France, however, was able
to break this way of thinking and began to regard their women as an equal. Women s roles in
New France could be described as small but very important as day to day life would not be as
efficient without the help of the women of New France. Both European women and Aboriginal
women had jobs that were essential to everyday life, women helped contribute to the fur trade,

were basic every day jobs but were important as these small jobs provided food and weapons for
each tribe. The Native women were extremely well respected and their opinions were highly

carried the weights of the domestic economy. The descent went through the female and only
women could give names to the men when they were promoted to chief. Women had all the say in
who was selected for chief and made the call to go to war. It is incredible that for the centuries that
Western men did not respect the opinions of women, yet Aboriginal men of the New World were

Sub arguments are: (1) Outdoor cats cause a decline in wildlife. (2) T.N.R. is an ineffective
treatment. (3) Outdoor cats are a threat to human health.
Therefore, the main argument is: (4) Cats should not live outdoors.
Premises support (1): (5) Outdoor cats killed 2.4 billion birds annually in the lower 48 states. (6)
Outdoor cats also kill about 12.3 billion small mammals and about 650 million reptiles and
amphibians.
Premises support (2): (7) T.N.R. is generally not particularly effective at reducing feral cat
colonies. (8) It is a way for shelters to save their image instead of euthanizing cats.
Premises support (3): (9) Cats are more likely to carry rabies. (10) They also share parasites or

An Analysis of Transformational Leadership
An Analysis of Transformational Leadership
BSP045 Work Psychology
B010898 Cheng Chen
Introduction
Since the early 1980s, there has been an explosion of interest on transformational leadership among
scholars and managers. It is shown with evidence that the desire and effectiveness of
transformational leadership style are universal (Den Hartog, et al., 1999, and Bass, et al. 2006).
This leadership style, as its name implies, is a process which tends to change and transform
individuals (Northouse, 2004). To help followers grow and develop into leaders, transformational
leaders respond to individual followers needs and empower them (Bass, et al. 2006). It is also

п‚ІManagement by exception: Corrective transactional dimensions. Active management by
exception is the behaviour that a leader monitors followers closely for mistakes and intervenes with
corrective direction. Passive form involves correction only after requirements have not been met or
problems emerge.
On the active passive leadership continuum, the full range places transformational, transactional,
and laissez faire leadership, of which the last one represents the absence of leadership. Originally
from French, laissez faire is a phrase which implies a hands off, let things ride approach. In this
way, leaders take no responsibility, provide no feedback, and ignore followers needs (Northouse,
2004).
Considering a global context and culture variation, Bass (1997) argued that transactional and
transformational leadership can transcend all parts of the globe and all forms of organizations.
Advantages of Transformational Leadership
After a long time development and refinement, the Transformational Leadership model and
instrument have been widely used, because it has several strengths as follows:
First, plenty of both qualitative and quantitative studies for transformational leadership have been

Geography In Ancient China
Geography
Geography plays a big role in ancient China. To start off, China is a very isolated country. The
location of ancient China is the eastern part of Asia. To be more specific, Bejing China is located
40 degrees north and 116 degrees east. Shanghai is located 31 degrees north and 122 degrees east.
Ancient China has many features that define it. For an example, it is built along two main rivers.
They are the Yellow River and the Yangtze river. But it also has mountain ranges, deserts, and
plains. The Grand Canal had a big role in ancient China. It was China s core economic and
agricultural region away from the Yellow River, valley in the north and toward the southern
provinces. The Great Wall of Chinaand the Forbidden City is China s most well know famous
architecture. They had to change the land to build these two famous structures. Citizens of ancient
China traded and got around to other countries by the Silk Road. Geography played a huge role in
ancient China.
Government In ancient China, government is very different then most countries. Instead of
presidents they have dynasty s. A dynasty is a line of hereditary rulers of a country. The shang
dynasty was responsible for the starting blocks of of chinese culture and civilization. The
steadiness of the country during the Shang Dynasty led up to many cultural advances such as
industrialized bronze casting, the calendar, religious rituals, and writing. The first king was Tang.

Sadism In Night And Fog
Assuming that directors make films on genocide to raise awareness and to move people to act for
justice, the films we have seen in class try to reflect that theory. Night and Fog is a 1955 French
documentary short film directed by Alain Resnais created ten years after to the liberation of Nazi
concentration camps. The filmwas composed of shots of the camps making it graphic in nature. It
alternates between the present and past using black and white and color shots. They show the
Auschwitz remnants while the narration is going on with the scenery. The issue of sadism is
raised upon the prisoners with things such as medical experimentation, torture, and prostitution.
The graphic scenes of the bodies and the chambers are disconcerting to say the least. I think the
use of the music along with black and white images are overused leaving the audience in shock,
thus raising full awareness. If it were up to me I would not use as much graphic images at he
did. It is one of the movies you cannot forget about due to the images that are engraved in your
mind. Resnais switches to color to and narrates with little to no music which blends well in order
to give the audience a break from the horrific images. The color shots are not vibrant so the
translations from black and white to color is not disturbing to the eye. Some... Show more content

The Importance Of The Fair Trade Movement
The movement I chose to research was the Fair Trade Movement. The main goal of the Fair
Trade Movement is to provide support to allow workers and farmers in local communities to not
get overshadowed or taken advantage of by large corporations and be provided with sustainable
and reasonable working conditions. Fairtrade is important as it is used to help improve the lives
and communities of producers that are small scale. Furthermore, Fairtrade is more than just trading
goods It highlights the need for change in the rules and practice of conventional trade and shows
how a successful business can also put people first. It is a tangible contribution to the fight against
poverty, climate change and economic crisis (World Fair TradeOrganization).
The key values of the Fairtrade movement include five values that the Fair Trade Movement are
committed to which are: People First, Excellence, Integrity, Respect, and Passion (Fair Trade
Canada). In terms of people, the Fairtrade movement focuses their goal around promoting and
improving the wellbeing of people such as farmers, workers and other members of small scale,
or local businesses. Secondly, for integrity they try to be as honest, ethical and transparent as
possible as they are accountable to their stakeholders (Fair Trade Canada). Third, respect is a key
value to the Fairtrade movement as they want to collaborate and work with diverse groups who
share similar values as the movement. Finally, passion is their last key value

Do you know that reddish planet that you could see through a telescope in the sky? Well everyone

Observation Of The Client, The Head
On observation of the client, the head is rotated a little to the left as well as a slight chin poke is
noticed. Also, more bulk is noticed on the right trapezius musculature. Range of motion
examination of the cervical spine indicates pain 2 type on active and passive extension. Similarly,
pain 2 type is reproduced on right side flexion on both active and passive movement. On passive
accessory intervertebral movement examination, Postero anterior central pressure (PA) reproduces
pain before resistance at the 6th cervical vertebrae. Postero anterior unilateral pressure on the right
articular processes patient experiences pain before resistance at the 6th and 7th cervical vertebrae.
A transverse pressure on the 6th and 7th cervical vertebrae produced pain before resistance as well.
Manual muscle testing indicates a weakness of the right triceps. Since the upper traps were painful

Literary Analysis Of The Hunger Games
Fighting to the End
There is not a single fascinating work of fiction to be found which has no hero to admire. The
notion of a hero implies a charismatic, and often selfless person, whose indispensable qualities are
determination and fortitude. Having a clear goal, they do everything possible to achieve it. Katniss
Everdeen, the protagonist of the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, possesses all the features
inherent in a true hero.
The narration takes place in a post apocalyptic North America. The nation state of Panem is
separated into twelve districts, the thirteenth of which having been destroyed due to the first
rebellion against the Capitol. Katniss hails from a poor coal mining District 12, where she lives
with her mother and younger sister Prim. The Hunger Games is an event held by the Capitol
every year, used as a means to both entertain its citizens and to constantly remind the districts of its
immense authoritative power. Two tributes, one boy and one girl, are randomly selected from each
district by means of a lottery system on Reaping Day. The games reach its end when a single
tribute is still alive and proclaimed the winner.
The hero receives a call to adventure when her sister Primrose is initially selected as a tribute.
Immediately and without hesitation, Katniss volunteers to take her sister s place, only to realize
afterwards what a fierce struggle she is about to undertake with her life on the line. The girls father
being dead, Katniss is the only one

Areas Of Good Teamwork
Good teamwork is essential in my setting but it needs a lot of conscious effort in order for the
team to work at its best. Working in a team rather than just an individual has the potential to bring
together all the skills experiences and disciplines required to support the service users. There are 11
main building areas:
1) CLEAR OBJECTIVES these are mutually agreed aims and objectives.
2) BALANCED ROLES these have a good balance of skills, abilities and aspirations.
3) EFFECTIVE PROGRESS these are good processes for making, communicating and reviewing
decisions.
4) APPROPRIATE LEADERSHIPthe team will have trust and feel comfortable in how things are
being led.
5) GOOD COMMUNICATIONmeetings are productive and there is effective communication
throughout the organisation.
6) SUPPORT AND TRUST help by listening, evaluating and offering ideas as well as encouraging
experimentation and giving support.
7) OPENNESS AND CONFLICT people are open and express themselves honestly. They can work
through difficult situations and conflict.

Pros And Cons Of Dishonest Behaviors In College Education
Since finding the right employees is getting more competitive as time goes on, it is not odd to
say or hear that nowadays college students risk their necks on GPA, especially students from
different country or different culture. I believe this caused unstoppable problems in the America
college education, such as doctored documents and proxy for an exam or paper are becoming
ordinary among English as Second Language students. These unethical behaviors are caused by
higher standards in social to be recognized. Students are seeking out for good grades and GPA in
order to be fulfill hiring requirements in nowadays. This is why students falsify documents to be
accepted by colleges. Also, this is the reason why students buy a paper rather than write a paper. I
believe students, who engage in any kind of unethical and dishonest behavior in school, should be
punished by school s honor code.
In order to be accepted by a college in the United States, students must attain specific conditions.
This is the reason why some of the Chinese international students commit dishonest acts in
academic. In other words, students break and bend the rules and their moral to be enrolled in a
college. In the article The Plagiarism Plague, Raymond A. Schroth mentions that some other
agencies falsify school letterheads and create doctored transcripts and counterfeit letters of
recommendation. These unethical and dishonest acts should be considered as crime , because they
are disregarding on rules

Pink Floyd
Far ahead of most bands for their time, Pink Floyd is now a days, known for their psychedelic
and heavily orchestrated rock and roll. Although the band has set some record sales with albums
such as The Dark Side of the Moon and the The Wall; a fan could never forget their work during
the 1970s with the creation of Wish you were Here. Unlike most albums by Pink Floyd where life
and deep philosophical thoughts are the at the forefront of their content, Wish You Were Here took
a newer direction and conveyed the bands ideas on the music industry as a whole. Examples of this
concept can be found spread throughout the entire album; the first being found in the opening song,
Shine on you Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1 5). When listening to Shine on you... Show more content on

Ultimately, this song s core meaning has to do with second guessing a decision you or someone
made; in this case, the song uses Syd Barrett leaving the band to have a solo career. Examples of
this can be found throughout the entire song. The first example of this is found right in the
opening line when the singer states, So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell? This line
is written as a question in order to show you how significant this ambiguous decision is
throughout the song. It s as if David Gilmour is asking Syd Barrett himself if he understands the
impact of leaving the Pink Floyd has, and David describes this as if Syd s decision is as different as
heaven is from hell. Another example that backs up this idea is when David Glimour states, And
did you exchange, a walk on part in the war, for a leading role in a cage? This line again is written
as a question to the get the listener to really think about the impact of this line. In this case, David
Gilmour is using a war as a way to describe how brutal the music industry is; as he has been
referring to it in previous songs. David Gilmour is also using a cage as way of telling Syd that your
career is only going to be of limited scope working alone.

Lewis Carroll s Major Accomplishments

He also sent a few of his works to other magazines, which gave him minor success. These other
magazines included The Comic Times, The Train, as well as less known magazines such as the

Carroll did once state in writing that he would definitely enjoy doing more serious and
publicable works in the future. The first piece of work that Carroll had published was one that
was most notoriously responsible for his fame. It was titled Solitude. Apart from all his other
writings, the particular works that made Carroll such a well known author are the classic Alice in
Wonderland stories. It is said that Carroll based Alice off of Alice Liddell, who was the daughter of
Carroll s friend at the time. When Lewis told Alice the beginning of the story, she insisted that he
write them down and publish them. Carroll had many books made featuring Alice. Some examples
include Through the Looking Glass, Alice s Adventures in Wonderland, and Through the Looking
Glass and What Alice Found There. The story of Alice in wonderland remains a classic tale

However, once we become selfless, it is then when we will finally be content with our lives. This
theme first emerges when Mr.Peters asks for three wishes and uses the first one greedily by
asking for a wife in the forest. The theme is then refined when Mr. Peters had to make the
selfless decision of turning his wife back into a swan so she could be exultant. On top of that, he
refuses to use his third wish. He had now started to become unselfish. Nevertheless, the theme is
not fully developed until Mr.Peters dies and finally gets rid of greed and gains selflessness. In
addition, Mr.Peters had ultimately felt fulfilled. Mr.Peter s realizes that being greedy will never
make him feel good on the inside. Although, when he becomes selfless it makes him feel blissful.
Meanwhile, this can also help us in the real world too. When you are greedy, it might make you
happy on the outside, but not on the inside. It will just make you feel depressed, miserable, and
lonely in the inside. Being greedy will hurt others and will also never help us in the long run
either. On the other hand, if you open up your heart to care about others, it can make us feel
marvelous on the inside. You just need to make the small jump from being greedy to being selfless.

The Pros And Cons Of The Second Sino-Japanese War
Is it possible for the torture and deaths of thousands of innocent lives to be justified? Starting in
1932, Japanese scientists began doing research for the Imperial Japanese Army, in which they
subjected over 3000 people to brutal experiments. Treated as if they were lab rats their suffering
was seen by the scientists as part of the greater good for the Empire of Japan. After World War Two
the United States government pardoned these scientists in order to ensure that they would not
destroy all their results. To let all the results of their experiments be lost would make all the
suffering that the victims went through be lost and meaningless. The Second Sino Japanese War
began in 1937 and ended in 1945. Fighting between China and Japan began in 1931, after the
successful Japanese invasion of Manchuria, in border skirmishes. Due to their small population
compared to China, Japan sought to gain any advantage they could get. In 1932 the Japanese
government began a large scale military research program to perform research kept secret due to
its brutal nature. This program is referred to as the Ishii Network which is named after Shiro
Ishii who was Chief Medical Officer of the Imperial Japaneses Army and was in charge of this
undertaking. He set up several facilities of the Epidemic Prevention and Water Purification
Department to be used to systematically conduct human experimentation on mainly Chinese
civilians. The subjects of the experiments were prisoners that had no trial, were political
prisoners, or were prisoners of war. These experiments were to see the effects of biological and
chemical warfare as well as preforming medical research. After World War Two ended the Soviet
Union put all researchers in the Ishii
Antkiewicz 2
Network that they found on trial but the United States offered to not use the results or data that
they receive from scientists in the Ishii Network as evidence for war crimes. This is due to the
scientists threatening to destroy all of the data if the were put on trial. This is similar to what was
done in Operation Paperclip, in which German scientists that worked for the Nazi party were
brought to the U.S. and allowed to continue their research or work in order to

Excalibur
My Three Favorite Scenes
The movie Excalibur is a story about a king that is later known as the best king, but we still aren

the reading and watching of Excalibur. One main thing that we are taught through Excalibur is the
code of the knights. The code of the knights was to serve and protect your king while respecting
everyone. While watching this movie I learned a lot about something that I look at as pointless at
the beginning of the year. Many things in this movie have made me open my eyes and see the true
meaning behind somethings. I have come on some of my favorite scenes that show the strengths of
many people. The scene that first caught ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

holy grail to save his king. Even though the movie Excalibur was a good movie every person will
look at it in different ways. This movie has taught me a lot about how important the knights code

Netflix s top management team reviewed three options to transition into the online video
market. The first option featured a licensing agreement with cable providers, cable subscribers
could use the Netflix website for an additional fee to view movies on demand. The second option
would essentially integrate a streaming online feature into the Netflix s core offering. Finally,
an option would be building a stand alone online video business where customers would
essentially pay exclusively for online video access. In January 2007 Netflix decided to announce
its entrance into the VOD market using the third option as its approach. Although Netflix prides
itself on its customer personalization system, customers recently have been disappointed with
Netflix and its online catalog of movies. The approach they take of promoting smaller films is
great for a certain target audience in America. What about the rest of movie lovers in America?
Most Americans want instant access to the most recent movies that have been released in the

Issues Of The Modeling Industry
Issues in the Modeling Industry Fashion is everything to society and the media, but everyone
wants to look good while feeling beautiful in their own way. Everyone believes that fashion is an
easy, fashionable, and sophisticated style. Today, the modeling industry has become negative for
older and younger women. The people in the industry do not prefer unhealthy body images such as
pictures of overweight women. Women suffer from depression and anxiety. The modeling industry
has been very harmful towards women in America. It effects women by not achieving a healthy,
being strong, and confident body image regardless of shape and size.
Having a skinny body is very important in the modeling industry. Bigger women always get turned
down. This makes them feel unhealthy and not as beautiful as the other women that are modeling.
The hard part for models is to keep their weight down to a certain number, otherwise, they are not
allowed to model anymore. Today, in America many women are suffering from eating disorders,
and other negative behaviors which make women do things to their body that they should not do.
Men are attracted to healthy women regardless if the woman is older. Most modeling agencies
prefer skinny women because they believe having smaller women as models would attract men
there to support them. The media thinks being overweight is ugly which is unfair for bigger
women because women of any size should be able to model. The media shows thin women on

JUDICIAL REVIEW AND THE INDIAN COURTS
Introduction
Judicial Review is basically an aspect of judicial power of the state which is exercised by the
courts to determine the validity of a rule of law or an action of any agency of the state. The courts
have the power of testing the validity of legislative as well as other governmental action with
reference to the provisions of the constitution. The judiciary tries to undo the harm that is being
done by the legislature and executive and they also try to provide every citizen what has been
guaranteed by the constitution. Judicial review has a more technical significance in public law, ...

Judicial Review in India
The constitution of India, in this respect, is more similar to the U.S. Constitution than the British.
Under the constitution of India parliament is not supreme. Its powers are limited in the two
ways. First, there is the division of powers between the union and the states. Parliament is
allowed to pass laws only with respect to those subjects which are guaranteed to the citizens
against every form of legislative encroachment. The power of judicial review of legislation is
given to the judiciary both by the political theory and text of the constitution. There are several
specific provisions in the Indian constitution, judicial review of legislation such as Act 13, 32, 131
136, 143, 226, 145, 246, 251, 254 and 372.
Judicial review is a great weapon given to the judges. It includes the power of a court to hold
illegal and unenforceable any law or order based upon such law or some other activity by an open
power which is conflicting or in clash with the fundamental law that must be adhered to. Truth be
told, the investigation of constitutional law may be depicted as an investigation of the precept of
judicial review in action. The courts have force to strike down any law, on the off chance that they
trust it to be unconstitutional. In the case I.R. Coelho v. State of Tamil Nadu the court laid down a

Business Management Essays
Business Management The world of business has undergone radical and dramatic changes in the
last decade changes that present extraordinary challenges for the contemporary manager. A manager
is an organizational member who is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling
the activities of the organization so that the goals can be achieved. According to a widely
referenced study by Henry Mintzberg, managers serve three primary roles: interpersonal,
informational, and decision making. Management is process of administrating and coordinating
resources effectively and efficiently in an effort to achieve the goals of the organization. The
concept of management within an organization typically occurs in an... Show more content on

Controlling is monitoring the performance of the organization, identifying deviations between
planned and actual results, and taking corrective action when necessary. With all these four
functions that are involved in the process of management, if all are followed correctly the
organization will be properly ran and will have few complications. In every organization there
are managers, and every manager is classed on different levels in terms of the skills they need
and the activities they are involved in. Managers exist at various levels in the organization
hierarchy. A small organization may have one layer of management, where as a large organization
may have several. In most organizations there are three level of managers. The three level of
managers are, first line manager, middle manager, and finally the top level manager. Managers at
different job levels have different job responsibilities and therefor require different skills. First line
managers supervise the individuals who are directly responsible for producing the organization s
product or delivering its service. They carry titles such as production supervisor, line manager,
section chief, or account manager. First line managers along with all the other managers are
involved in three skills conceptual, human, and technical. In each three different levels of

The Change Theory Of Nursing Model
Framework The Change Theory of Nursing Model will be used to facilitate change in the unit
because it will drive the patient in a desired direction (Nursing Theory, 2016). The model,
developed by Kurt Lewin, uses three stages of change. Before change can be implemented the
agent goes through unfreezing, experiencing the change, and refreezing (Nursing Theory, 2016).
Unfreezing This phase involves focusing on the staff s mindfulness for the necessity of change
based on the evidence collected by an infection control committee. This phase is necessary to
overcome the tensions of individual resistance and group compliance (Nursing Theory, 2016).
Using three methods is how this phase is achieved. First, redirecting the behavior away from the
existing situation. Second, reducing the restricting forces that have a negative affect on the
movement. Lastly, using a combination of the two methods mentioned above. Experiencing the
Change This stage is where the staff will be required to view the education power point on the
new CAUTI prevention tool. The staff will then take a post education competency test to
demonstrate proficiency of the risks and complications of CAUTIs as well as the prevention tool.
Nurses are encouraged to assess the need to continue the Foley each shift and offer patients an
urinal, commode, or bedpan when needed. When indications are no longer met, the RN is to call

the children will think she s immoral if she does, and should only see Mother with one man, the

necessarily mean sleeping together. When you feel ready to date, sit down and talk to your child if
you feel it will help you become more comfortable about dating. You can say, I d like to begin to

Lee Harvey Oswald s JFK Assassination
Two days after the JFK assassination, the official suspect, Lee Harvey Oswald, was shot dead by
Jack Ruby, a Dallas strip club owner. Oswald s famous remark that I m just a patsy (Warren
Commission Hearings, vol.20, p.366) inevitably led to suspicions that his murder was a convenient
execution.
Rumours suggested that Jack Ruby had been involved not only in the cover up but also in President
Kennedy s assassination itself. The Warren Commissionattempted to show that these stories were
mistaken and that Ruby s murder of Oswald, just like Oswald s murder of Kennedy, was simply
the act of a deranged lone gunman (Warren Report, pp.333 373). The House Select Committee on
Assassinations was more critical: HSCA Report, appendix vol.9, pp.127 148; see also What Did
the Warren Commission Say about Jack Ruby?.
Nevertheless, the rumours and conspiracy theories persisted. Ruby was supposed to have:
delivered a rifle to the grassy knoll; known Lee Harvey Oswald before the assassination; been a
spectator in Dealey Plaza during the assassination.

The Effects Of Random Audience On Cancer
For my final project, I decided to write my paper over my findings of if people were
knowledgeable about cancer. This is a subject that is near and dear to my heart, I have had a few
family diagnosed with cancer. Most of them are now in remission and I did lose a two family
members that lost their battle. I think if more people became knowledgeable about cancer, we
maybe can find a cure in the near future. I will explain how I analyzed the knowledge of the
random audience that I selected to partake in my survey. The key terms and definitions that I will
be using are: statistics, mean, median, mode, standard deviation, range, and population standard
deviation. Statistics is the science of collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data in
order to make decisions. The mean of a data set is the sum of the data entries divided by the
number of entries. The median of a data set is the value that lies in the middle of the data when
the data set is ordered. The mode of a data set is the data entry that occurs with the greatest
frequency. Standard deviation is a quantity calculated to indicate the extent of deviation for a
group as a whole. The range of a data set is the difference between the maximum and minimum
data entries in the set. The population standard deviation of a population data set of N entries is
the square root of the population variance (Larson Farber, 2014). The collection of data part was
the most fun for me! I crated a survey or list

The Rights Of Gay Rights In The LGBT Rights
LGBT rights are one of the most argued rights today. These rights are protected by the Fourteenth
Amendment. This amendment states that you cannot deny a person equal protection, and some
people completely ignore this when it comes to the LGBT community. People tend to believe that if
someone is a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and so forth, that there is something wrong with
them and that they need help. That s not the case at all. People in the LGBTcommunity are just
like everyone else that isn t in that category. They re trying to be true to who they are and that is
so hard when you know that so many people in this world are disgusted by gays. Everyone
deserves love, whether it be from someone of the opposite sex or the same sex. Some people see
two girls together and think that it s inappropriate or disgusting , and that they should be with a
man. Heterosexuality is the sexuality that most parents force upon their children whether they
notice it or not. Do you have a boyfriend? is one way that a parent is throwing heterosexuality in
their daughter s face. It s not that their being forceful about it, or even trying to be rude, it s just
the most common thing of what they re used to, but it s not always going to be that way. It s
crucial to know that there are people in this world that are gay, lesbian, and bisexual. I m in no
way trying to speak for the LGBT community, but my goal concerning this paper is to discuss
Supreme Court cases on same sex couples and to cover areas where the LGBT community
Lambert 2 may not always get treated as equally as straight people. To being with, a Supreme
Court case that was tried was the case of Bowers v. Hardwick in 1986. This case occurred after a
man named Michael Hardwick was found in bed with another man. Hardwick was charged with
sodomy and was taken to Court. Hardwick argued that it was a right of privacy and believed that
his relationship didn t concern others. The Court disagreed, and ruled 5 to 4 that the right of
privacy was not protected in cases with homosexual adults, even if they had consented. The charges
against Hardwick were dropped, and a man named Justice Powell, a member of majority, said that
his vote was mistaken. Powell thought that if

Paul s Missionary Journeys and Epistle Correlates
Paul s Missionary Journeys and Epistle Correlates The missionary journeys of Paul cover a
major portion of the Book of the Acts of the Apostles (commonly shortened to Acts). Acts
demonstrates, at least in part, how the journeys relate to the writing of the Epistles or letters to
various congregations that needed encouragement or some other word from Paul, and when
they were written. The three journeys happened in close relation to one another and were meant
to spread the Gospel message to the unsaved and encourage those who had come to believe on
the Son of Man. The letters were written as an inspiration from the Father to further the
understanding of believers regarding the perfect life of a Christian. This papers describes in
short form the three missionary journeys of Paul and how they relate, chronologically, to Paul s
writing of the epistles. Missionary Journeys The first element of the journeys was who traveled
with Paul. He went on the first with Barnabas and Mark. Barnabas was regarded as a coworker
and Mark as an apprentice or helper according to Niswonger (1992, 209). The second journey
was much longer, as concerns distance, but did not take as much time and was accomplished
with Silas. The third journey is a solo one apparently (McGee, 1998). The approximate dates of the
three journeys are First from 45 AD to 47 AD, Second from 51 AD to 53 AD and Third from 54
AD to 58 AD (McGee, 1998). Of course all of these dates are somewhat speculative, but they are

How could the text be read and interpreted differently by two different readers? The interpretation
of the poem might vary depending on the age social status, gender, culture and the time period in
which the text was read in. The variation of the interpretation will be based on the different

Essay on Enlightenment in Colonial Society
Enlightenment in Colonial Society
The Enlightenment began in the mid to late 17th century; almost every source gives different
dates and doesn t really specify when exactly it started. It consisted as more of a religious
revolution, but it also had to do with the emergence of different specialized professions. A major
point of the English Enlightenment was that it did not like the idea of a vengeful God, nor did it
like the idea that man could only retain so much knowledge and a certain social standing.
John Tillotson, who was the archbishop of Canterbury until 1694 would preach, morality rather
than dogma and had a way of defending the doctrine of eternal damnation that left his listeners
wondering how a merciful God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most desirable course for the colonists to take was to agree to disagree. Nothing more
powerfully encouraged the movement of separation of church and state than the realization that no
one church could be the only church of the new colonies.
Several of the most distinguished leaders of the American Revolution, Thomas Jefferson, George
Washington, Ben Franklin, and Thomas Paine, were very much influenced by the English; and, to a
lesser extent the French Enlightenment. Jefferson and Franklin both spent time in France,
absorbing the influence of the French Enlightenment. The language of natural law, inherent
freedoms, and self determination which was so deeply rooted in American tradition (what there
was of a tradition) was the language of the Enlightenment; however, there was still a little of some
other or traditional religions involved, which has been called our civil religion .
Eventually different legal professions started to emerge in many of the colonies, and with this
surge of new professionals came the ideas of Enlightenment. In the 1600 s most of the colonists
hated lawyers, people thought of them as men who took advantage of others and who deliberately
stirred up discord. For a small amount of time Massachusetts and Virginia made it illegal to
practice law. Maryland was the only

Religious Connotations In Ayn Rand s Anthem
This little light of mine, I m gonna let it shine. Could a tune often sung by children in Bible study
also be used to depict an expedition of self? Similarly, Ayn Rand portrays a hymn of I in Anthem
through a boy confined within a collectivist society. Throughout Anthem, Ayn Rand uses Equality s
journey to awareness in which Rand displays religious connotations ability to stifle individuality,
foreshadow through the Saint of Pyre, as well as consecrate ego in order to emphasize the need for
self worth and individuality. At the start of Anthem, a lack of free thought and individuality resulted
from religious connotations in the negative form. The government dominating Equality s society
referred to all the information they wanted hidden from society through dismissive yet holy terms.

For example, Equality exclaimed, Many words have been granted to me and some are wise, and
some are false, but only three are holy: I will it! (Rand 94, 95). Throughout the entire book,
religious word choice is used to emphasize the importance of what Equality is saying. Referring
to the three words as holy , Rand took the phrase Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven
which is praised upon by Christians and changed it to I will it (Rand 95). This shows the wording
being used to augment the phrase and add sacredness to it. The title of the novella is also used to
emphasize the Unspeakable Word. Anthem is defined as a song or hymn of praise. Often used with
a holy vibe, Rand is using the word anthem to put an importance to the sacred word: ego. Without
individuality, men were reliant on the word we . Equality explains, When men accepted that

  • 2. Examples Of Free Will In A Midsummer Night s Dream The theme, fate vs. free will, occurs multiple times in A Midsummer Night s Dream. Fate vs. free will, occurs in Acts, One, Two, Three, Four, and Five. Shakespeare uses the magic of fairies, or character to influence situations and people. The fairies take away free will on multiple occasions, which creates conflict or a comical tone during scenes. Few occurrences of free will take place in A Midsummer Night s Dream. Firstly, Eques will not allow Hermiato marry Lysander. Hermia loves Lysander, but Eques, her father, disapproves of Lysander. Next, Puck, a magical fairy, influences multiple characters throughout the play. Characters include, Lysander, Demetrius, Bottom, and Titania. Titania loses all free will, while Bottom is changed into a donkey against his will. For example, And thy fair virtue s force perforce doth move me On the first view to say, to swear, I love thee (3.1, 140 41, Shakespeare). Titania loves Bottom, who has the head of a donkey, against her free will. Oberon placed a love potion on Titania s eyes, which resulted in Titania loving Bottom. Furthermore, Bottom was changed into a donkey by Puck. The lines, I see their knavery: this is to make an ass of me; to fright me, if they could (3.1, 119 20, Shakespeare), allow the reader to know Bottom has the head of a donkey. In Scene Two, Hermia, Helena, Lysander, and Demetrius have conflict. In the lines, Now she holds me not; Now follow, if thou darest, to try whose right, of thine or mine, is most in Helena (3.2, 336 37, Shakespeare), Lysander begins to argue with Demetrius about Helena. Lysander s loss of free will results in conflict. In the lines, I will not trust you, I, nor longer stay in your curst company. Your hands than mine are quicker for a fray, my legs are longer though, to run away (3.2, 341 44, Shakespeare), Helena is attempting to run away from the situation because Hermia was upset with the situation. Act Three summarizes the conflict. Shakespeare uses the loss of free will to spark conflict ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Literary Analysis Of A Good Man Down Literary Analysis of A Good Man Down In the Sports Illustrated article A Good Man Down, author Lee Jenkins utilizes the elements of tone, insightful word choice, and structure to tell the story of a coach and community who, when faced with tragedies, displayed the grit of small town values. The verbose tone of the story begins by describing Ed Thomas s obsession with his football field. In order to accurately capture Thomas s passion for football, Jenkins goes into great detail describing the meticulous care and protection Thomas gave to make sure the field was in prime condition. The tone shifts when Jenkins describes the school s barn by saying, That s where Thomas kept the big orange lawn mower he used to cut the grass. It s also where he was shot and killed two days earlier. Here, the author goes from something as mundane as describing a barn, to abruptly informing the reader of Thomas s death. The stark tone of the last sentence drastically changes the mood of the writing from small town living to murder. Jenkins wanted readers to experience the same shock the townspeople felt when they lost a key figure in their community. Jenkins technique of diversifying tone early in the article was very effective towards gaining the reader s attention. Another exemplary example of Jenkin s control over tone was when he described Thomas s death. The tone fit the actions displayed in the event; mournful and emotional. Jenkins describes the emotions of Brandon Simkins, an up and coming running back, as he watches his coach, the one he had dreamed playing for perish in front of him. Brandon wanted so badly to play for Thomas, and you could feel that through the author s wistful tone. After Brandon s dream of playing for Thomas was taken away, the tone shifts translates to anger and disappointment. Jenkins conveys Brandon s feelings by saying, After they got out, he punched the door closed, hitting it so hard he bruised his fist. The ferocity of tone and word choice in this paragraph help the reader feel the situation at hand, not just hear about it. When Parkersburg was rocked by the effects of the tornado, Jenkins describes the coach s reaction as he came to the side of the field by writing, ...he stared ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Narrative Essay About Thalassomania Thalassomania: a passion for the sea When I was in the sixth grade my best friend, Makayla, took me surfing for the first time. On August 29th, we went to our favorite beach Pacific City. I fell in love with the ocean, beach, sand between my toes, and the feeling of being a surfer. Surfing all day long with an endless amount of laughs and smiles, we brought our rental surfboards back to the shop were we got them from. It just so happened that the shop closed at 6, but we didn t realize that. Her mom wasn t feeling comfortable just leaving the surf boards by the shop, so her mom bought a room at the nearest hotel. Discouraged, we went to a different surf shop. Where we also found out the surf boards were about the same price. We went to out to lunch and my parents thought about what else I may want. They offered me a compromise. Since renting a surfboard is only $25, they offered to put money in a bank account for me just for surfing. I agreed and was very pleased with this idea. I had some money saved up so we went back to the first surf shop we went to and I bought a wetsuit. For the rest of the day my younger brother and I surfed with rental boards. Leaving the beach that night, I was just as happy with the compromise my parents made for me, as I would have been with my very own surfboard. That day taught me a lot about who I was and wanted to be. I wanted to be a surfer girl with my very own surfboard. Who I was, was a city girl living in the suburbs with the dream of being a surfer. I liked the idea better of having my very own surfboard, just to feel more like a surfer. When the men returned from the war, they took back their jobs, but this caused many women to no longer be satisfied by playing their traditional roles. This created consequences, were women fought for their right to vote, greater educational and job opportunities, be able to hold jobs with higher power, and improved labour laws and health care. After many challenges to get equal rights, most women were finally able to obtain a right to vote in 1919, and gain entry to higher job opportunities while being considered as persons in 1929. It is shown with evidence that the desire and effectiveness of transformational leadership style are universal (Den Hartog, et al., 1999, and Bass, et al. 2006). This leadership style, as its name implies, is a process which tends to change and transform individuals (Northouse, 2004). • 17. Sadism In Night And Fog Assuming that directors make films on genocide to raise awareness and to move people to act for justice, the films we have seen in class try to reflect that theory. Night and Fog is a 1955 French documentary short film directed by Alain Resnais created ten years after to the liberation of Nazi concentration camps. The filmwas composed of shots of the camps making it graphic in nature. It alternates between the present and past using black and white and color shots. They show the Auschwitz remnants while the narration is going on with the scenery. The issue of sadism is raised upon the prisoners with things such as medical experimentation, torture, and prostitution. The graphic scenes of the bodies and the chambers are disconcerting to say the least. I think the use of the music along with black and white images are overused leaving the audience in shock, thus raising full awareness. If it were up to me I would not use as much graphic images at he did. It is one of the movies you cannot forget about due to the images that are engraved in your mind. Resnais switches to color to and narrates with little to no music which blends well in order to give the audience a break from the horrific images. The color shots are not vibrant so the translations from black and white to color is not disturbing to the eye. Some... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main goal of the Fair Trade Movement is to provide support to allow workers and farmers in local communities to not get overshadowed or taken advantage of by large corporations and be provided with sustainable and reasonable working conditions. Fairtrade is important as it is used to help improve the lives and communities of producers that are small scale. Furthermore, Fairtrade is more than just trading goods It highlights the need for change in the rules and practice of conventional trade and shows how a successful business can also put people first. It is a tangible contribution to the fight against poverty, climate change and economic crisis (World Fair TradeOrganization). The key values of the Fairtrade movement include five values that the Fair Trade Movement are committed to which are: People First, Excellence, Integrity, Respect, and Passion (Fair Trade Canada). In terms of people, the Fairtrade movement focuses their goal around promoting and improving the wellbeing of people such as farmers, workers and other members of small scale, or local businesses. Secondly, for integrity they try to be as honest, ethical and transparent as possible as they are accountable to their stakeholders (Fair Trade Canada). Ultimately, this song s core meaning has to do with second guessing a decision you or someone made; in this case, the song uses Syd Barrett leaving the band to have a solo career. Examples of this can be found throughout the entire song. The first example of this is found right in the opening line when the singer states, So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell? This line is written as a question in order to show you how significant this ambiguous decision is throughout the song. It s as if David Gilmour is asking Syd Barrett himself if he understands the impact of leaving the Pink Floyd has, and David describes this as if Syd s decision is as different as heaven is from hell. Another example that backs up this idea is when David Glimour states, And did you exchange, a walk on part in the war, for a leading role in a cage? This line again is written as a question to the get the listener to really think about the impact of this line. • 36. The Pros And Cons Of The Second Sino-Japanese War Is it possible for the torture and deaths of thousands of innocent lives to be justified? Starting in 1932, Japanese scientists began doing research for the Imperial Japanese Army, in which they subjected over 3000 people to brutal experiments. Treated as if they were lab rats their suffering was seen by the scientists as part of the greater good for the Empire of Japan. After World War Two the United States government pardoned these scientists in order to ensure that they would not destroy all their results. To let all the results of their experiments be lost would make all the suffering that the victims went through be lost and meaningless. The Second Sino Japanese War began in 1937 and ended in 1945. Fighting between China and Japan began in 1931, after the successful Japanese invasion of Manchuria, in border skirmishes. Due to their small population compared to China, Japan sought to gain any advantage they could get. In 1932 the Japanese government began a large scale military research program to perform research kept secret due to its brutal nature. This program is referred to as the Ishii Network which is named after Shiro Ishii who was Chief Medical Officer of the Imperial Japaneses Army and was in charge of this undertaking. He set up several facilities of the Epidemic Prevention and Water Purification Department to be used to systematically conduct human experimentation on mainly Chinese civilians. The subjects of the experiments were prisoners that had no trial, were political prisoners, or were prisoners of war. These experiments were to see the effects of biological and chemical warfare as well as preforming medical research. After World War Two ended the Soviet Union put all researchers in the Ishii Antkiewicz 2 Network that they found on trial but the United States offered to not use the results or data that they receive from scientists in the Ishii Network as evidence for war crimes. This is due to the scientists threatening to destroy all of the data if the were put on trial. The first option featured a licensing agreement with cable providers, cable subscribers could use the Netflix website for an additional fee to view movies on demand. The second option would essentially integrate a streaming online feature into the Netflix s core offering. Finally, an option would be building a stand alone online video business where customers would essentially pay exclusively for online video access. In January 2007 Netflix decided to announce its entrance into the VOD market using the third option as its approach. Although Netflix prides itself on its customer personalization system, customers recently have been disappointed with Netflix and its online catalog of movies. Judicial Review in India The constitution of India, in this respect, is more similar to the U.S. Constitution than the British. Under the constitution of India parliament is not supreme. Its powers are limited in the two ways. First, there is the division of powers between the union and the states. Parliament is allowed to pass laws only with respect to those subjects which are guaranteed to the citizens against every form of legislative encroachment. The power of judicial review of legislation is given to the judiciary both by the political theory and text of the constitution. There are several specific provisions in the Indian constitution, judicial review of legislation such as Act 13, 32, 131 136, 143, 226, 145, 246, 251, 254 and 372. Judicial review is a great weapon given to the judges. It includes the power of a court to hold illegal and unenforceable any law or order based upon such law or some other activity by an open power which is conflicting or in clash with the fundamental law that must be adhered to. Truth be told, the investigation of constitutional law may be depicted as an investigation of the precept of judicial review in action. The Change Theory Of Nursing Model Framework The Change Theory of Nursing Model will be used to facilitate change in the unit because it will drive the patient in a desired direction (Nursing Theory, 2016). The model, developed by Kurt Lewin, uses three stages of change. Before change can be implemented the agent goes through unfreezing, experiencing the change, and refreezing (Nursing Theory, 2016). Unfreezing This phase involves focusing on the staff s mindfulness for the necessity of change based on the evidence collected by an infection control committee. This phase is necessary to overcome the tensions of individual resistance and group compliance (Nursing Theory, 2016). Using three methods is how this phase is achieved. First, redirecting the behavior away from the existing situation. Second, reducing the restricting forces that have a negative affect on the movement. Lastly, using a combination of the two methods mentioned above. Experiencing the Change This stage is where the staff will be required to view the education power point on the new CAUTI prevention tool. Oswald s famous remark that I m just a patsy (Warren Commission Hearings, vol.20, p.366) inevitably led to suspicions that his murder was a convenient execution. I think if more people became knowledgeable about cancer, we maybe can find a cure in the near future. I will explain how I analyzed the knowledge of the random audience that I selected to partake in my survey. The key terms and definitions that I will be using are: statistics, mean, median, mode, standard deviation, range, and population standard deviation. Statistics is the science of collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data in order to make decisions. The mean of a data set is the sum of the data entries divided by the number of entries. The median of a data set is the value that lies in the middle of the data when the data set is ordered. The mode of a data set is the data entry that occurs with the greatest frequency. Standard deviation is a quantity calculated to indicate the extent of deviation for a group as a whole. The range of a data set is the difference between the maximum and minimum data entries in the set. The population standard deviation of a population data set of N entries is the square root of the population variance (Larson Farber, 2014). The collection of data part was the most fun for me! People tend to believe that if someone is a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and so forth, that there is something wrong with them and that they need help. That s not the case at all. People in the LGBTcommunity are just like everyone else that isn t in that category. They re trying to be true to who they are and that is so hard when you know that so many people in this world are disgusted by gays. Everyone deserves love, whether it be from someone of the opposite sex or the same sex. Some people see two girls together and think that it s inappropriate or disgusting , and that they should be with a man. Heterosexuality is the sexuality that most parents force upon their children whether they notice it or not. Paul s Missionary Journeys and Epistle Correlates Paul s Missionary Journeys and Epistle Correlates The missionary journeys of Paul cover a major portion of the Book of the Acts of the Apostles (commonly shortened to Acts). Acts demonstrates, at least in part, how the journeys relate to the writing of the Epistles or letters to various congregations that needed encouragement or some other word from Paul, and when they were written. The three journeys happened in close relation to one another and were meant to spread the Gospel message to the unsaved and encourage those who had come to believe on the Son of Man. The letters were written as an inspiration from the Father to further the understanding of believers regarding the perfect life of a Christian. This papers describes in short form the three missionary journeys of Paul and how they relate, chronologically, to Paul s writing of the epistles. Missionary Journeys The first element of the journeys was who traveled with Paul. He went on the first with Barnabas and Mark. Barnabas was regarded as a coworker and Mark as an apprentice or helper according to Niswonger (1992, 209). The second journey was much longer, as concerns distance, but did not take as much time and was accomplished with Silas. The third journey is a solo one apparently (McGee, 1998). The approximate dates of the three journeys are First from 45 AD to 47 AD, Second from 51 AD to 53 AD and Third from 54 AD to 58 AD (McGee, 1998). A major point of the English Enlightenment was that it did not like the idea of a vengeful God, nor did it like the idea that man could only retain so much knowledge and a certain social standing.
