The human brain contains around 100 billion neurons, which are cells that process and transmit information through electrical and chemical signals. Each neuron is between 0.5 and 1 millimeter in size. The brain replaces around 300 million neurons per minute as old neurons are consumed and new ones regenerate to take their place.
