• AP (with Ph.D) completed 4 yrs service, eligible for AGP Rs.7000
• AP (with PG) completed 5yrs service, eligible for AGP Rs.7000
• AP (non PG) completed 6yrs service, eligible for AGP Rs 7000
• Lect (SS) re-designated as AP eligible for AGP Rs 7000
• AP with 5 yrs service in AGP Rs 7000 eligible to AGP Rs 8000

6. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Qualification :
• Asstt. Prof. & Lecturer(SG) have completed 3 years service
in (12000-18300) on 1.1.06 shall be re-designated as Ass. Prof.
• Asstt. Prof. & Lecturer(SG)not- completed 3 years (12000-
18300) will be placed in AGP Rs. 8000/- till they complete 3 yrs of
service in L(SG)/AP, thereafter shall be placed in PB-4 and re-
designated as Associate Prof
AP/L(SG) in service at present shall continue as AP/L(SG) till placed in
PB-4 and re-designated as Ass. Prof
Asstt Prof after 3 yrs teaching in AGP Rs 8000/- can move to AGP Rs
9000/- redesignated as Ass.Prof
7. PROFESSOR
Qualification :
• Assoc. Prof. (PhD) Completed 3 years in AGP Rs.9000/- will be
designated as Professor subject to condition of academic
performance laid down by TU eligible for AGP Rs.10000/-
•Directly recruited Prof at Rs 43000 in PB-4 at AGP Rs 10000 (eligibility
as per TU norms)
8. SENIOR PROFESSOR
Qualification :
• Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at Master’s level with 10
years teaching/research/individual experience at least 5
years as Professor in PB-4 at AGP Rs 10,500/-. After 5 yrs in
AGP Rs 10,500/- can be placed in PB-4 at AGP Rs 12,000/-
• An academic with proven track record of excellence
in teaching & research. Experience of 10 yrs in
academic/research/industry
9. DISTINGUISHED PROFESSOR
Qualification :
• A Professor who becomes a leading person in his/her subject and to
facilitate such a Professor continuing in Academics instead of being
entrusted with responsibilities of administrative nature, the governing body of
TU may designate him/her as a Distinguished Professor.
• He/she must have at least 10 years of experience as Professor.
• Such an Individual should be an acclaimed leader in the field.
