Tunisia hosted the second phase of the World Summit on the Information Society in 2005, recognizing the importance of information and communication technologies (ICTs) as a priority sector, which have significantly contributed to the country's GDP growth since the early 1990s. The government has implemented strategies to enhance ICT infrastructure and promote e-content, particularly in education, with a focus on increasing internet accessibility and fostering local digital content development. Despite challenges, Tunisia continues to expand digital services and develop regulatory frameworks to support e-commerce and protect personal data.
