Jacob, Martha, Roy en Jeffrey, 1e jaars studenten HAN Engineering (werktuigbouwkunde, embedded systems engineering, technische bedrijfkunde en industrieel product ontwerpen) bedachten een concept voor een GFT-vreter en werden er mee genomineerd voor de Gasterra Transitiejaarprijs 2011.

23 april werd Girlsday 2010 georganiseerd op de Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen en wel bij de faculteit Techniek. 81 meiden van het Liemers College kwamen op bezoek voor diverse workshops. Miranda Valkenburg van de HAN verrichtte de aftrap met een korte presentatie over de HAN, de werelden van Techniek en de techniek opleidingen van HAN Techniek.
