This document discusses the advantages of information systems. It provides definitions of information systems from several experts, including that they are organized ways to collect, enter, process and store data to help an organization achieve its goals. The document also gives opinions that information systems combine IT and management to provide information for decision making, carry out operations, and provide required reports. Finally, it notes that information systems graduates have capabilities that allow them to work in many sectors.

2. According to Rommey Information systems are organized ways to collect, enter, process, and
store data and organized ways to store, manage, control and report information in ways that
an organization can achieve its stated goals. (Rommey, 1997)
According to Leitch Rosses, an information system is a system within an organization that
meets the needs of daily transaction management, supports operations, is managerial and
strategic activities of an organization and provides certain external parties with the necessary
reports. (Rosses, 2005)
According to Erwan Arbie Information systems are systems within an organization that meet
the needs of daily transaction processing, assist and support operational activities, are
managerial in nature of an organization and help facilitate the provision of the required
reports. (Arbie, 2002)
In general an information system is a system that provides information for management in
making decisions and also for carrying out company operations, where the system is a
combination of people, information technology and organized procedures. (osd, 2015)
So, in my opinion the information system after combining from several experts is a system
that provides information for people in various things such as communication, decision
making, information systems can also do instructions as desired after inputting data and
information systems are generally used for management
Information systems are the combined results of IT and Management or business.
Because in the Information System we learn how to build an application that can facilitate the
activities of a business or business processes in it. (Hudiarto, 2017) Because they want to
learn about computers but also want to learn about business. Thinking by majoring in this
information system I can learn two sides, namely on the one hand we study systems /

3. computers and on the other hand I study business, and the next reason I think that in the
future the system and business will always develop and be sought by companies.
The reason I chose the first information systems major was because this department was
simpler than computer engineering.If in the computer engineering department we have to
learn all the details about computers, even coding, but in the information systems department
it won't be as complicated as that.A lot of job opportunities for graduates of information
systems bachelor became my next reason to take information systems. Information systems
graduates that I know so far are able to work in companies in almost all sectors. (Meitasari,
2016) The advantages possessed by graduates of information systems have capabilities that
are not widely owned other majors.
