The Williams & Davis Series 2000D is a classic 2-pass, dry-back horizontal firetube boiler that offers high efficiency, flexibility, reliability, safety and ease of operation. The Dryback design provides full access to boiler tubes, tube sheet, and furnace for ease of maintenance and includes single rear tube sheet construction, which reduces tube sheet stresses. Why use Face Seal & Mini Weld Fittings?
Face Seal Fittings (VCR* Styled) & Mini Weld Fittings provide:
• Fully orbital welded gas delivery system for High Purity applications in the semi
conductor industry.
• The assembly between two tube connections is made by using a gasket between the two
torrid of the Face Seal Glands. The gasket is compressed by holding the male nut or body
hex with a wrench and turning the female nut (1/8 turn after finger tight position)

Machining & Polishing:
• Fittings/Valves are manufactured on High Precision CNC machines
• Mechanical Polishing and Surface Finishing are carried out by trained professionals – where
each component achieves a high quality internal finish (as low as 5 Ra)
• The Surface Finish is verified using a profilometer
• High resolution microscopes are used to ensure burr-free weld stubs
Silver Plating:
• The internal threads of female nuts are Silver Plated and Cleaned using selective chemicals to
retain proper level of plating

• Both the processes are verified for chromium to iron ratio, oxide thickness, defect analysis and physical appearance

• Chromium Oxide to Iron Oxide ratio: >1.5*

Manufacturing Process and Quality Control
Surface Finish of High Purity Fittings/Valves:
Standard Surface Finish is less than 10 Ra (compared to industrial average of 15 Ra), while surface Finish of
Electro Polished components 5 Ra or less (industrial average 10 Ra)
Cleaning:
Only biodegradable, phosphate & alkaline free cleaners are used
Components undergo ultrasonic washings and then pass through a multistage temperature controlled DI
water rinsing system
Packing:
On final inspection, components are packed in a Clean room under an inert environment, in accordance with
semiconductor industry standards
