The document proposes a patient alert alarm system using SMS for location-aware fall detection. ABSTRACT
Measurements of retinal blood vessel morphology have been shown to be related to the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The wrong identification of vessels may result in a large variation of these measurements, leading to a wrong clinical diagnosis. In this paper, we address the problem of automatically identifying true vessels as a post processing step to vascular structure segmentation. We model the segmented vascular structure as a vessel segment graph and formulate the problem of identifying vessels as one of finding the optimal forest in the graph given a set of constraints. We design a method to solve this optimization problem and evaluate it on a large real-world dataset of 2,446 retinal images. Experiment results are analyzed with respect to actual measurements of vessel morphology. The results show that the proposed approach is able to achieve 98.9% pixel precision and 98.7% recall of the true vessels for clean segmented retinal images, and remains robust even when the segmented image is noisy.

Ambulance service is one of the crucial services that should not get delay. To overcome this situation this paper describes a solution that “ embedding Intelligent system on Ambulance and Traffic monitoring †which includes alerting and tracking mechanism with traffic light regulating such that the ambulance can achieve a free way as fast as possible. An algorithm is used to control the traffic signals automatically based on the key pressed by the driver from keyboard in the ambulance. The information reading the current as well as future location of ambulance is sent from the ambulance itself. This information is used to optimally control the traffic. The performance of the embedding intelligent system on Ambulance and Traffic monitoring is compared with the Fixed Mode Traffic Light Controller. It is observed that the proposed model is more efficient than the conventional controller in respect of less waiting time, more distance traveled by average vehicles and efficient operation during emergency mode and GSM interface. The aim of this paper is to model VMS and RADAR and aid it with INS in order to overcome its errors. VMS

highly accurate positioning in military navigation a reliable aiding system, Radar has been opted. The
Kalman filter is designed and modeled as the integrating element in INS/RADAR, to provide an optimal
estimate of navigation solutions. An error analysis has been done for both INS aided VMS and INS aided
Radar systems. The navigation performance of VMS and Radar aiding system is compared and their merits

Vendors and users continue to develop and deploy new applications and infrastructure to take advantage of the new measurement data. San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E) is among users who are deploying Wide-Area Situational Awareness (WASA) systems in which PMUs distributed across the grid are streaming data to control centers for situational awareness of dynamic wide-area behavior of the grid to system operators, and as a tool for engineers to perform post-event analysis of disturbances and operating events along with system model validation. These uses are just a part of a broader roadmap for many important new applications using PMU measurements. Over time, synchrophasors will serve as the new unified wide-area data-gathering platform serving system observation, operating data collection for SCADA and EMS, control, automation, market functions, asset management and maintenance support, and even high-speed wide-area fault and failure protection functions that supplement and back up local fault protection. 1. TRIAXIAL ACCELEROMETER-BASED FALL DETECTION
METHOD USING A SELF-CONSTRUCTING CASCADEADABOOST-SVM CLASSIFIER
ABSTRACT
In this paper, we propose a cascade-AdaBoost support vector machine (SVM)
classifier to complete the triaxial accelerometer-based fall detection method. The method uses
the acceleration signals of daily activities of volunteers from a database and calculates feature
values. By taking the feature values of a sliding window as an input vector, the cascadeAdaBoost-SVM algorithm can self-construct based on training vectors, and the AdaBoost
algorithm of each layer can automatically select several optimal weak classifiers to form a
strong classifier, which accelerates effectively the processing speed in the testing phase,
requiring only selected features rather than all features. In addition, the algorithm can
automatically determine whether to replace the AdaBoost classifier by support vector
machine. We used the UCI database for the experiment, in which the triaxial accelerometers
are, respectively, worn around the left and right ankles, and on the chest as well as the waist.
The results are compared to those of the neural network, support vector machine, and the
cascade-AdaBoost classifier. The experimental results show that the triaxial accelerometers
around the chest and waist produce optimal results, and our proposed method has the highest
accuracy rate and detection rate as well as the lowest false alarm rate.
EXISTING SYSTEM
Falls are one of the most common adverse events in hospitals and fall management
remains a major challenge in the medical care quality. Falls in patients are associated with

To deliver medical care in time, reliable location-aware fall detection is needed.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
In this paper, we propose a patient alert alarm for fall management. It is SMS
location awareness fall detection system that provides immediate position information to the
care givers as soon as the fall happened. Obviously, the integration of location awareness and
fall detection technologies fulfills the requirements of delivering critical information to
relative professions and improve the medical care quality.
This project gives the location awareness such as in-time information about the
location of their patients, doctors, and medical staffs when medical emergencies arise .For
example, inpatients might fall somewhere in the hospital during the midnight, a patient alert
alarm system for fall management provides location information to the night shift nurses.In
this project, we use a location-aware fall detection system by using tri-axial accelerometers as
fall detecting sensors. The proposed system can provide emergency alert and position
information to caregivers through SMS as the patients fall happened.
